    another oil question?

To the people whose car takes 6 quarts. Is your block a Windsor block (8 bolt crank) or Romeo (6 bolt crank)? If the 8th digit in your vin is an X then its a Windsor. Mine is a Windsor and takes 6 quarts, anybody else?

which gt has 6 bolt flywheel?

I guess I have a fluke then. My 97 GT has an X for the 8th digit in the vin(the engine code) which means it has the 8 bolt windsor. I got this info straight from the Ford Racing website while shopping for flywheels. Look at the bottom of this...

    Best tire size??

265/35/18 and 285/35/18 give it a nice meaty stagered look. Some people have even put 295s on so it is possible.

    Flywheel?

I've heard if you have an X for the 8th digit in your vin# then you have an 8 bolt Windsor block not the 6 bolt Romeo block. Does anybody have a 96-98 with an 8 bolt? Mine has the X engine code.

    Tire Size

I have 275/40/17s on 17X9 chrome Cobra Rs all the way around. The only time it ever rubs is full lock like in parking lots and if you don't listen for it you would never know. I'm also lowered 1.5 inches.

What should a stock 97 GT run?

Intercooled or not? On Hot Rod TV, the 96 GT vert made 316 rwhp with an intercooled Vortech setup. I'm not sure about the psi.

    New Mod....CAI, TB, Upper Plenum

I think you could see 20 rwhp or so considering your current mods. I would go ahead and do them all at once and then get a tune.

Changing my oil myself, few quick questions.

I use Mobil 1 5w30 full synthetic with the Mobil 1 filter. I just replaced my plugs with motorcraft platinums. I heard Fram filters suck. :D

Steeda Sport Springs installed. ? about rubbing.

Hmm... looks like it has touched the exhaust a little. Are both sides like this? If its an aftermarket cat back maybe you can loosen some bolts and position it a little better. If not, it doesn't seems to rub it very bad I would leave it.

    too much oil? :-0

Maybe the Windsor engines take 6 and the Romeo takes 5? Mine has an X for the 8th vin digit so its a Windsor and the manual says it takes 6, and 6 puts it at full. Anybody else?....
