    Goin Racing

    Cobain - I had a similar setup back in the day with a 4sp and 2.79 open rear. I ran high 14's the first time out. I was able to get down to 14.4's with some tweaking.. MY guess is you wll be in the low 15's to high 14's on your first time out.

    I have a 50's 9" in my car also. If you dont have any of the parts, it might a good time to swap to a rear disc setup. That's what i did.

    Reccomendations for new rear leaf springs?

    I really like my Maier 165 rears leafs. Installed with the HD Shackles and Poly Bushings. I had crazy wheel hop not anymore. I also put in a tracloc which helped. Anything would be better than 40-YO leafs and airshocks though. I am using KYB's for shocks on all 4 corners

    You can also machine down the eccentric to fit under the timing cover. That should solve you clearance issues.

    Wanted: Wheels Cragar

    I have a set of 14x7’s 5 lug wheels They are Cragar look alikes Cal Customs actually. Wheels are in ok shape. Could use a good polish and cleaning. Front tires are 215/ 60 like new Rears are 265/ 50’s - worn down pic on the car now.
