Favorite Car Of Your Teens/early Years...

The woody Wagon project on this site brings back fond memories of my youth... and my favorite car of that time... '78 Pontiac Grand Safari wagon. 350cu.in. 4bolt, Holly 4bbl, Eddy intake, RV cam, 400TH with RV tq convertor and shift improvements, 4.10's and a posi. :). It had been my Mum's daily...

    First Gear

A million years ago, I had my stock MAM bored to 62mm's. Worked great. No changes to idle or fuel economy. Car ran a best of 13.2 at 101 with 3.73's and an off road H pipe... no other mods. Looking back, I should have just stopped the mods there.

What Is A 1988 Gt 5.0 Hatchback With 12500 Miles Worth

Unmolested low mileage cars are getting more and more rare... If I were in the market, I would pay 25 if it were indeed mint. I can tell you this, mine is original/paint/glass/interior and about as mint as you will find around here... however it has been driven some... just under 60k miles... it...

Post pics of how your foxbody currently sits

Congrats on the new best. What are you running for a roll bar? All the talk about putting the cars up for winter... I'm just starting to think about getting mine out. New rods are at the shop, rotating assembly being re-balanced, still waiting on T&D rockers. Getting close.

5.0 Mustang Nitrous Build. First Mustang, And First Time Using Nitrous

I'm not too knowledgeable on this topic... block filling... but some folks seem to have had success beating a stock block that has been hard filled. Since this is a track only car, and, seems the the stock block is staying, I'd suggest you look into that option. Be a shame to chance ruining that...

5.0 Mustang Nitrous Build. First Mustang, And First Time Using Nitrous

I've attached pictures of what a stock/mexican block likes to do... this was a 306 making ~330whp n/a running a 150 shot and shifting at 6500rpm. This thing was well built and well tuned with good balanced internals. I would guess it had less than 50 runs on it, and I know it had zero street...

Where To Buy A Rebuilt T5

Another vote for Astro. Certainly call, Tony is very easy to speak with.

Question For Why Aod To T5

I love the manual transmission experience. Had to search high and low for my 6spd Wrangler. Having said that, if I had an AOD Fox and the AOD was giving up the ghost, I'd simply build the AOD. A well built auto is still a lot of fun... yes they rob more power in dyno-land, but built correctly...

    G Force G101a Trans

Agree'd... so when does yours get one? Did you ever drive the face plated trans around town? Wondering how bad it really is.

Too Good To Be True? Probably

Agree'd, to get over 400 crank hp on stock heads... the guy would be asking $3500 for the heads alone and selling the car separately... :). It does not look like that kind of build. If it does make over 400 crank hp on stock heads, it'll sound like it's trying to quit at 1200rpm and like it's...

The Journey To Find A Fox. Found A Cobra Instead.

That Cobra does look good at $15. With the ease of sending photos with a phone, I would think you could get a pretty darn good idea before you ever started thinking about a road trip. If they are not willing to take photos, my guess would be that the car is mis-represented. Crap, ~15 years ago...

    Shorties Or Long Tube?

10-15hp for $200-$350 (pick your poison) is a pretty good deal in my book.

    Shorties Or Long Tube?

Toronto is a city in the province of Ontario. With that out of the way... :). Long tubes are worth it if you are chasing every last 1/100th at the track. They have a different sound to them as well, a little deeper... not as "raspy"... any 5.0 is going to be raspy but the long tubes make them...
