    Turning a 4.6 into a 5.4

you can get 304 or so out of a 4.6 with stroker cranks... going 5.4 does require the higher deck 5.4 block, ala F150 for Sohc heads, or the navigator NVI block for DOHC heads. playing with a frankenstein engine is not that hard... but going 5.4 puts you into the vast minority of premade...

How hard is it to install LCA's and a Panhard bar?

LCAs can be swapped in under an hour, really easy. Panhard rod can be very difficult, it really depends on your comfort with drilling into the frame and having to retionalize around problems when instructions dont go quite right. I did mine by myself with jack stands and hand tools... took an...

    Turning a 4.6 into a 5.4

going from a GT to a sohc 5.4 no. that is the cheapest and easiest, but no its not worth it the stroke will add bottom end torque and slight HP across the band.. not enough. what makes a 5.4 worth it? going 4v. its been proven that a high rev 5.4 4v with the right parts can get near 500...

    Somethings gotta be wrong

on a side note about the C/Os... i do hear they are noisy, however i will be grabbing them in the next 1-4 months (depending on how much the garage costs) and have many idea of how to insulate them. but i mainly only hear the rear is loud, never really a lot about the front... but either way...

    .030 over, too much?

with that kind of boost and nitrous I would get a new block personally... take the machine shop out of the equasion for error.... however, ask the shop if they can ensure a smooth line and constant geometry with just honing it... a lot of times the block (iron) will be fine even if the...

    .030 over, too much?

i have heard a lot of companies such as VT and MMR do .030.... i hate to say it but SHM swears by .030... so take it with a grain of salt... if going for lots of boost... maybe not the best idea... moderate boost or NA... go for it.. but i am suspension guy, not engine. Torinalth

2002 Mustang GT Cobra Engine Swap

just had one thing come to mind, while the engine is cake and only needing a harness, i was sorta wrong.. i had to rethink my post as far as cost. as far as the motor goes its a direct swap... you will need a different alternator bracket i believe... then a serpentine belt, everything else...

2002 Mustang GT Cobra Engine Swap

wow, what a load of crock. the 4v engine can do a lot. porting the heads, a good intake and exhaust can give 350+ to the floor. and you do NOT need the cobra computer. the GT can be tuned fine to the cobra specs without issue.. been proven time and time again.. just need the cobra harness...

    School us on engines...

figured i'd chime in here.... nothing special... but to ask bill, if he actually got the Boss intake.... and if so think ya can get another one? stil deciding on power polant and holding back on suspension till i figure what K i need.... again depending on turbo or block.... big bore...

Where to buy mustang turbo? and how much different is the install?

for some people making a kit is a possability. for others like myself its not. bending the pipe, designing the layout, making sure you dont blow something up with a slight mistake... kinda daunting.... i can install anything you throw at me... but give me some guidelines and precut pieces...

    UPR coilovers

I'll agree to that. stick to the good names.... if you want handeling, dont skimp.... hell, when it comes to the mustang, dont skimp. garbage in, garbage out. MM/EVO hybrid rear, and going for MM front end... costly, but solid. speed costs. Torinalth

    t56 question

no you do not need to changeto a cobra anything. only thing that needsto be changed, aside from the tranny its self, is the crossmember, the driveshaft, and i believe a wireharness... i have read things about needing to fab a reverse lockout, but i believe that only applies to auto to manual...

Anyone running BGF KDW2's or Kumho MX's?

KDW2 will cover the dry and traction/track performance... but they dont last as long as i liked... but thats what happens when you get that good of a tire. shrug.. its the better of the two though. Torinalth

    EvM trilink

noise 1 - stock gears. and the best i can guess is it si because the pinion angle has changed due to the trilink design... its not unbearable, and with my rear seat delete back in its only noticable under WOT over 60 with the music really low. noise 2 - gone with the rear seat delete in. my...

    shock/strut install

its cake... really simple. i can do shocks and springs now for all 4 corners under 2 hours. its pretty strait forward, and i never had an issue with the top nut... juse use the appropriate sized allen wrench and the longest closed end wrench you can find... lil time consuming because of the...
