    Question on silicone gasket sealer

I noticed you said you only had a few hours on the engine. Did you deck the block or shave the heads? The intake my need shaved a bit if any or both was done. Also are you sure its not leaking out of the oil pressure sending unit. Just thoughts as I doubt any one could screw up silicone that...

    Billet or Aluminum Flywheel?

Steel is going to be better for an driver. Light flywheels are great for a moving car to accelerate faster. A few of my friends driving imports have had problems with the disimilar metals warping the fly wheel. They do drive the @#$% out of them.

    Carb. help

You might check your fuel pressure. Edelbrock is very insistant about 7 psi. max. Most of the street pumps are set for Holleys 8 psi. To port or not??

I agree about just cleaning up the rough edges, but to port match the intake to heads you need to eliminate the miss match of three items. The heads, intake, and the gasket. Hold the gasket up to to your heads then to your intake. the opening of the gasket is almost always larger. If it is not...

    Help with 331 stroker

Check out the 5.0 block at summit. Unless you have free or very cheap access to a machine shop its a pretty good deal. Your first engine would only be 327, but you will have a block ready for the 331 after you wear it out. If you are going to flog the motor hard and push that NOS button...

    To port or not??

Port matching your intake and heads is one of the few mods easily done by the average guy in his garage. Use the intake gasket as a template . Just make sure you use the same brand of gasket as there is some differance between brands. How much differance it makes in a mild street engine who can...
