    05 part ID

All 2005 Mustangs (V6 and GT) have ABS and Traction control, standard. Actually, I didn't look closely. The brake fluid resevoir is on the firewall, but I didn't really look for the master cylinder. And that could be in the junction at the front.

    05 part ID

It's part of the brake system. 2 lines run to the front brakes, 2 lines to the rear brakes, and 2 lines to the brake master cylinder. Just noticed that the steering shaft is chromed, like a show car. Now that's interesting...

    yeah boy!!! 13.217 @ 103.31 *Auto*

Lot's of people willing ot host it, including myself. Get it to someone so we can all see it!

    05 part ID

Do you mean the one with like 6 or 8 hard lines running out of the top of it? I assumed it was the braking system.

    Bone stock goes 13.25 @ 102.85

What makes you say that? It seems, at least from a couple of data points, that the auto may be running better 1/4's than the manual. It could be that the gear ratios are better spaced in the auto. All I know is that the 2 outstanding numbers we've seen (this one, and Motor Trend's) have been...

Got some replies from aftermarket companies today

Flowmaster hasn't R&D'd yet. I'm first on the list to be their test mule, unless they can get one from their local dealership this week.

    Nice Engine......!

I don't believe in contests that aren't won by the fastest, longest, etc. Don't get me wrong, they are fun to watch. But subjective racing? It's like Freestyle Skiing. Fun to do, fun to watch, but at the end, if you score on looks, you may as well be ICE SKATING.

How much worse is gas milage on a GT compared to base model.

Parents, Budget, 20K? Does not compute! I had it easy as a kid in High School and in college, but they never dropped a check on me and said "here's $10K for a car" (inflation, it's been a couple of decades). Anyhow, the GT is getting me 14-15mpg in mostly city driving. On the freeway...

I Now Understand what the 2005 Mustang GT is All About

Some sleeper. I get people staring at my car, pointing at it across the intersection, honking, thumbs up. I've had people follow me for miles, park next to me, and ask if I minded telling them more about it. I've had kids, young men and women, old men and women, recognize it immediately as a...

    99-04 front clip on 05+

Dude, I'm trying to forget ALL the Mustangs from 1974-2004. You're not helping. ;)

    99-04 front clip on 05+

You've got to be kidding, right? The front of an 99-04 is jelly-bean smooth. It's neither unique enough to be exciting, nor executed well enough to be considered quality styling. And it's a boring variation on the prior 93-98 years. Do you mean just fenders and hood and nose, or the whole...

    MINERAL GREY QUESTION???????

It is supposed to be the same Mineral Grey on the current Explorer and on past Mustangs. BUT!!! It looks different on EVERY car. Part of it is the lighting, MG looks more grey under flourescent lights, and more tan under sunlight, with it falling in between on cloudy days. And digital...

Seriously thinking of trading my 03gt with 14k miles for a 05gt, hows the aftermarket

System is already Mandrel bent, 2.5" stainless from cats back, with a shorty H-pipe. I doubt cutting that out and putting in an X is going to do a heck of a lot for you. I'd concentrate on other places first. This is the type of exhaust people would brag about unless they are from the polished...

New Mustang is slack. Lets pit Ford America against Ford Australia!!! *56k warning*

Give us Americans a break. Australians haven't had Ralph Nader busting their balls for 38 years. :D BTW, nice power in those rides. Too bad they all look like a bar of soap that got left in the tub too long.

    Speed warning?

The chime at speed is NOT supposed to happen. The only warning chime associated with a moving vehicle is the BeltMinder chime. I've had mine over 120 and there was never a chime anywhere up through that speed.

    Interior plastic disappointment...

I do think that Ford should, over time, add more factory-installed OPTIONS so that people who want to pimp out their vehicles can do so from the factory. I also think that if they had offered these from the initial launch, we'd be waiting until April 2006 before the first GT came out. I...

    Interior plastic disappointment...

Actually, I think that the Medium Parchment interior on my 2005 is pretty nice. It gives the car an open and airy feel that you don't get from dark interiors.

    Tall Men Rejoice!

Don't worry, Mr_dcj2001, the car is probably fine for short guys under 6'4" as well. :D Just kidding (!)

    Tall Men Rejoice!

I'm 6'7", most of it torso, and I don't have any problems. I fill it, but I'm not bouncing off anything I shouldn't be.

    Brads site is down again

He's trying to export to the dedicated server. I'd quote him, but the link is on HIS site LOL.
