    The 385 series engines were designed to replace the aging FE engines....on top of the obvious benefits, 385 series engines also feature lighter reciprocating assemblies and better oiling system ....and everyone knows the 385 engines have almost unlimited potential.

    Be sure to jot down your 1/4 mile MPH at the track before and after the swap, but also jot down weather conditions and be sure to run at the same track with as close to the same set-up you did before the cam change....good luck, my prediction is that you will see a slight improvement in power.

    We install/sell the MAC axlebacks all the time....they have always installed easy and correctly and both sound and look great on the car, the 4" tips really fill out the cutouts nice.

    4.6 parts are relatively expensive no matter how you look at it, but considering you don't have to buy a programmer, which is usually the norm whenever you buy a CAI with the new 4.6 3V, it's definitely a plus.

    Yeah I thought so too on the no reflash - obviously a good bang for the buck since there's nothing else to buy....I think we may start seeing more of these type systems making it to market.

    Just added this item to Partshopper, Airaid's new intake system produced an additional 17 HP and 21 ft/lbs with stock tune and stock exhaust....this system doesn't require a flash - thought you S197 guys might like to know :nice...

    460 Conversion

    Very true that a smallblock built right with the appropriate mods can run 10s but run your smallblock vs the 460 mod for mod and that smallblock will come up short in the HP and especially torque dept.... I say if he wants a 460, go for it....if nothing else it would be different since noone...

    The "gray" smoke could be an overly rich condition...check all your vacuum lines and recheck the carb float adjustment and idle circuit settings.
