I couldnt agree more with what waterpog said. There is no one individual part in a stock forged block that is weaker than the block itself. And you can make enough power to split a stock block clean in half with a stock cam and 1.7s. Even with a C4 I still see around 20 mpg on the highway and it...
Well Im thinking they shouldnt have charged him then. The few times we really had issues getting a good tach reading we did what we could for the person at the time, didnt charge them, and made sure they knew we would take good care of them next time they came in.
What kind of dyno was it? On the Dynojet at my old shop if you dont have a good tach reading you dont get any kind of hp or torque readout. Or its sporatic anyway. I would think any other kind of dyno would be the same way considering its referencing your hp by way of torque/rpm.
And I know...
Too bad you couldnt run it up to power peak. Kinda strange they didnt use the dynos tach for reference. And I dont think your TC trans is long for this world. You start making much more power it will let you know. BTW what pilot bearing did you use?
I doubt that. You might be surprised how many people are into Rally. And I would have to say he is/was one of the biggest names in the sport of all time. You dont get video games named after you and not be a true star. The guy was a badass, and its a huge loss.
I agree with Nate, the 42s should be fine. That is unless your really gonna try to split that block and get crazy with the booooost. The only reason I run an FMU is at the moment I have 36#ers and they arent quite enough for the power Im making by themselves. The Super FMU has some decent tuning...
Matt, at the moment all I have is a BTM and a Vortech super FMU. Using a BTM would be a good way to start till you get something you can really tune with like the AEM. And even after you get a system, having the ignition part of the box will still be good to have.
Wanna Be GT, Noong only had...
A 60-1 can max out a 5.0 block, a T70 can destroy one. But if your careful in your tune and dont get too greedy it will be fine. Will be interesting to see your new monster come to life. Keep us posted.:nice:
Thats pretty interesting. I didnt know the exchange rate changed THAT much. Oh well, so much for Canada being a cheap date. Hey Dave, make sure you post up how that event is, maybe take a few pics for us poor folk who cant afford to go.
Oh and John, your choice really depends on what your going to do with the car. Daily driver, lots of highway, fun weekend car, street/strip, or strictly strip. It also depends on the combo your looking at as far as power.
Not exactly true. If you go to the track and look around you will notice a helluva lot more cars with autos than manuals. They are more consistent and depending on your combo can actually make your car much quicker.
Take my car for instance, because of my funky combo it was all I could do to...
Congrats Gregg and Toni. You guys sure have that car running well considering the mods you have done (or lack thereof).
Hey Kent, is anyone updating the individual points? Would be nice to see how everyone is doing. Man, Im gonna have a tough time not racing for awhile but in the end it will...
