    Smog question

In GA for older cars, they use the "sniffer" test and for newer cars they use the diagnostic port.

    Smog question

emissions question It is mostly stock but I'm new to the car and haven't determined what's different. Does anyone know how to tune it to compensate for the loss of the smog pump? I could put one on if need be I just don't know how hard that would be. We don't have visual inspections in GA.

    Smog question

Is it possible to pass a sniffer test (GA) without a smog pump on a 91 LX 5.0? I just bought the car and the smog pump is long gone but it has cats, etc. Can it be tuned to run cleaner? Thanks Andy

Speaker help for foxbody, opinions needed

I just bought a 91 Hatchback and have a couple of stereo questions and was hoping for other's opinions. -I have a set of 6X8 Infinity components from my 01 Bullitt (sold), they sounded great in the front doors BUT the 91 has 6.5 holes. Should I cut the doors to make the 6X8's fit, install them...

Is it possible to warp your rotors by over-torquing your lugs?

The "classic symptoms" were a set of tires that were not balanced correctly. It could also be that a bent wheel that was on the back was put on the front of the car. When you turned the rotors, you did remove some vibration, but the substantial improvement that you felt was the placebo effect...

    Billet Interior

It is very easy, the headlight knob is the hardest as there is a spring that presses against the shaft. A small screwdriver will easily pry it off however. Save your receipts on those pieces you bought, and check out the ad in the classifieds for the billet knobs for sale, you'll save a bunch of...

Is it possible to warp your rotors by over-torquing your lugs?

It is next to impossible to warp a brake rotor by over-torquing the lug nuts. Heat is what warps rotors.

    New tweeters for '01 Mustang

You may want to simply add a pair of tweeters. I have done this twice (96 SHO and 01 Bullitt), and each time the new tweeters have been a perfect compliment to the factory system. Infinity's are "crisp" without being "tinny." I simply connected the new tweeters to the factory tweeter connections.

    Mach 460 amp problem

Both of the wire sets that plug into the amp are released the same way- a small plastic tong/tag/strip that you squeeze. I don't know what a convertible's amp mounting looks like but you might try feeling for, as opposed to looking for the release.

    Mach 460 amp problem

Any Mach 460 Amp will work. Of the two amps, one drives the front speakers, the other the rears, there is no difference between the two.

    Higher octane in Phoenix, AZ?

I bet that 91 will cut it, and anyway you've got nothing to lose since you already bought the programmer. I had a mixture of 87 and 93 in my tank when I installed the hypertech software and didn't hear any pinging so give it a shot.

    Better exhaust note for cheap?

If you come across a set of Bullitt mufflers, snag them. I'm guessing that they will be exactly what you are looking for, louder than stock GT, but not too loud. I have a Bullitt and they sound fantastic.

    Radio Antenna

If you shorten the antenna it has to be between 14 and 15 inches, so as to maintain its receptive ability.
