    Mustang grille?

I have the 3D Carbon Eleanor Grille. (moves the fogs to the center) The instructions that came with the grille ask you to take off the entire front fascia to install it. Which, is not that hard, but does take some time. Instead, I jimmy jacked it in without taking off the bumper cover, but...

    Steeda Suspension Installed!

There is still plenty of clearance. I drive it just like I did before. No problems with speed bumps or getting into the driveway, (yet) the garage jack fits under there just fine. I used to scrape the front bumper on some parking curbs before, so I am assuming its going to be a larger problem...

    Short Throw

I have a hurst Billet, and am very happy with it. Though, I second that MGW is regarded as the best. (never felt one) If your looking for buttery shifts. You may want to change your transmission oil. I put in Royal Purple Sychromax and it improved the feel. I have also heard great things...

    Thinking of getting another Mustang

I think they changed the head design mid-way through 08, to solve a problem with the spark plugs getting stuck. If you can find a later 08, you'll be good to go on that issue.

Would you want 315HP or 365HP?

Good topic. I would have to drive them both, but I would lean toward the V8 for the sound quality. They might be able to push the power on the ecoboost 6 as much as you can on the 4.6L V8. I have seen 4 bangers make 800hp, so any engine can make huge power, its just a question of how much...

    Steeda Suspension Installed!

good point on the endlinks, I had not thought about that. Any bar that is going to use the stock enlinks is going to need to be the same diameter, at least at the point where is intersects with the endlinks. Unless, maybe they include some thinner bushings to go in the stock endlinks. As I...

How to modify for Road Racing

FWIW, google searches and whatnot, I have been posting my thoughts on the Steeda suspension in another thread listed here: http://www.stangnet.com/mustang-forums/791418-steeda-suspension-installed.html

    Steeda Suspension Installed!

Thanks Wraith, 'percinate it. Hey, just for the record. I was cleaning out my garage today, reorganizing it now that I have all the stock suspension parts sitting around. I noticed my invoice from Steeda. According to it, they sent me the GT500 Rear Sway bar. It is 1" thick, as opposed to...

    Shelby GT

okay, weird. I just did a search on kbb.com for the suggested retail values, and they came out like this: 2008 Mustang GT Premium, 8k miles = 28,300 2008 Mustang GT Shelby, 8k miles = 27,500 2008 Mustang GT Bullitt, 8k miles = 26,500 Why on earth would a Bullitt be cheaper than a...

    are falken tires any good

Yes, they are good. I would say they are great, but I dont have experience with enough other types of tire to really know. I have Falken Ziex 512s. I bought them because they were the least expensive tire in my area at the time, and I absolutely had to change tires. I am planning on new rims...

    Steeda Suspension Installed!

I think that looks amazing. I had come across another post of yours while doing my research, and you mentioned wanting to keep the rake. The car is designed to have a rake, and I think looks best when you keep it. Otherwise, your fender gaps are all off. I especially love the huge rear tire...

    Shelby GT

If you can find one in the same condition as a GT, its probably a good deal. I would guess the ones going for less than a GT are in bad shape somehow. The SGT, as I understand, comes with the FRPP handling pack ($1400), Hurst Shifter ($200), Shelby Grill ($300), Le Mans Stripes ($400?), CAI...

    0-60 times

This is exactly what I was trying to get at. 0-60 times are quoted at or around sea-level. Altitude will have a huge effect once you get above 1000feet or so. If you living above 1000 feet, your not going to get below 5 sec. I live in Denver, 5280 feet, and my 0-60 is probably 7 sec. or...

    Steeda Suspension Installed!

yeah, I think the problem with the first batch of photos is that they are too small and dark. This photo should work better. This is basically the same idea as the larger lightened photo but for all three set-ups. I can see someone really liking the rear only set-up. It is definitely...

    Steeda Suspension Installed!

I think the Steeda kit is has one of the smallest drops. It is quoted on their website as 1" front, and 1.25" rear. I did not measure the drop, just took photos instead. My main concern was handling, and that is why I went with Steeda. Honestly, if there were a handling pack that removed...

    Steeda Suspension Installed!

Front Suspension Installed! So.. spent the day installing the front struts and springs. The install went okay. It took five hours, instead of the four hours for the rear. I had an easier time jacking up the car, so the main problems occurred in compressing the springs. I only have hand...

    Steeda Suspension Installed!

Actually, I was a bit disappointed in how the photos turned out. I thought if I tried to make all the conditions the same, viewers could get a better idea of what the lowering springs do the look of the car. And I'll say, with the rear springs only, it looked kindy dopey. It looked like I had...

    paint issues

That sucks. I am sure they will fix it regardless. Ford definitely needs to step things up in the paint department. I owned a VW previous to the mustang, and the paint on the VW was impenetrable. The mustang, on the other hand, will scratch if I so much as sneeze in its direction. I always...

    Steeda Suspension Installed!

My Steeda suspension parts arrived yesterday. (On my calendar, this year, Christmas was July 24th.) I'll give a bonus to Steeda on the delivery. I Placed the order on Monday, July 20th, late afternoon, and the parts arrived that Friday at 1pm. Plenty of time left in the day to begin the...
