    REAR ABS SENSOR-HOW TO REPLACE?

Thanks for that PDF write up. I've been looking for these instructions for a while.

Heres a good one for you guys.

I once made a post about losing 2 psi after my LT header install. Everyone was telling me that they've never seen that happen. So I investigated and found a leaky vacuum line to my pressure gauge (happened during the install). Once that was fixed, I got my 2 psi of boost back.

    Centerforce Dual Friction and others

I'm making 440-470 rwhp (depending on which tune I use). Right now, I have Mcleod dual friction, which was recommended to me by Walt at Promotion Powertrain. I still can't get over how streetable it is -almost like stock. On the drag strip, it has held up well last season; about 20-30 passes...

belt size with new s/c pulley

Strange. It takes me about than 10 minutes to change a blower pulley on my S-Trim. I do it all the time, b/c I use a smaller pulley at the track than I do everyday. Changing a belt takes about the same amount of time. I do have to remove one brace between the Vortech bracket and the...

    Post your catch can setups

Jivepepper's method is probably the best way to keep oil out of the intake. But in blower set-ups, I heard that there are benefits in having the the blower sucking on the crankcase -I don't remember the reason exactly, but it was something like it helps to seal the rings...:shrug...

    Post your catch can setups

1low03gt, I use the same type of home made (i.e., "Husky" compressed air filter) catch can. I recommend removing the foam filter from inside -it'll eventually get clogged up with oil. Also, you can put a copper or stainless steal mesh pad inside (something like "chore boy" -you can...

    11.302@126 from a stock bottom end 2v

Thanks, but I don't consider myself a good driver. If I make, say 5 passes, only 2 or 3 of them will be clean passes. The other passes would be screwed up in some way or another. Also, my reaction times are all over the place, so I'll never be able to do well in a bracket race (unless I...

    11.302@126 from a stock bottom end 2v

Yeah, I've gotten squirelly a few times. But whenever that happens, I immediately lift and coast the rest of the way. Some people try to straighten out, regain traction and continue the pass. I don't see the point since the run is already ruined

    11.302@126 from a stock bottom end 2v

Believe it or not, I'm still on the stock axles. My diff is a stock trac loc, on its 2nd rebuild. The stock unit has held up pretty well, but I do tend to spin a little off the line, which takes away a lot of the shock. Mod list and dyno can be found here...

    11.302@126 from a stock bottom end 2v

Back when I used to race on ET Streets and drag radials, I woudn't have even bothered. But with 28" slicks & a nice smokey 2nd gear burnout, it was hooking great. I'm sure track prep had something to do with it.

    11.302@126 from a stock bottom end 2v

Well, I felt this was a little bit like cheating. We had some great 35 degree air with a slight tailwind at Cecil County. The track was fairly empty, making it a lot of fun. Got a new best ET, MPH and 60' time. The gains are not as much as I expected, considering all my new mods, but I'll...

Race gas w/ timing advance, no gain. Why?

My first thought was that my Xcal-2 wasn't actually loading the tunes that I specified.

Race gas w/ timing advance, no gain. Why?

I have a blown, intercooled 2v GT. My tuner set it up with 3 tunes: (1) a pump gas, safe tune (14 degrees, 420 rwhp) (2) a pump gas/race tune (16 degrees, 440 rwhp) (3) a 103 race gas tune (20 degrees, 470 rwhp) Tune #3 was newly acquired. My plans were to use the safe tune on the...

    Spark Advance

made my first attempt at datalogging with my Xcal2. I'm getting wierd, erratic readings for "spark advance," and don't know how to interpret them: BTW, this is my "safe tune," which is suppose to have 14 degrees max timing at WOT. This is what the datalog was showing: -In neutral/idling...

Looking for Transmission Advice - 03' GT

I have a tubular k-member. Shouldn't that have made it easier for them to loosen the passenger side header? Anyway, I agree with your latter point. I would have gladly paid extra labor to save my $350 Jet hot sterling coating. Its ruined now. Here are some photos...

Looking for Transmission Advice - 03' GT

The shop removed the tranny and sent it to a builder. According to the shop, the builder charged $800 for parts (rebuild kit) and labor. Then the shop added on $400 for labor to remove and reinstall transmission. $1200 total Since I have longtubes, I expected some added labor costs...

Looking for Transmission Advice - 03' GT

I had my T-45 rebuilt for $1200 (not including clutch), and I thought that was way too expensive. $1700 is crazy.
