    Cobra Intake Questions/Help

    Since the intake has not been installed yet,if I were you I would replace the baffle with the Ford Racing updated baffle to be on the safe side. Like I said before,it would really suck if you do have the oil issues and have to remove the intake a second time to replace the baffle.

    Maybe the intermittant wipers were turned on? If you look close,it looks like the ground is wet :shrug:. Pretty stupid...good thing no one was standing in front of the car.

    Took of my U/D pulles.

    Or a 2g size alternator pulley. Stock 3g size alt pulley is too big for UD pulley use at idle speed. My 89 has a 130 amp 3g alternator with a 2g size alt pulley and street underdrive crank and WP pulleys. NO charging,(at idle) or cooling problems.

    Didn`t Ford use grade 8 bolts for the intake from the factory? Pretty sure they`re grade 8.

    Ford Racing has come up with a redesigned oil baffle for the new Chinese lowers to fix issues with too much oil being sucked up the PCV. The oil baffle they come with is apparently too small.:notnice:

    Just from reading on this issue over the years. If the EGR is working,most noobs think that the coolant lines are a source of unnessary heat so they disconnect them. What they don`t understand is that the hot exhaust gasses being routed through the hidden manifold passages and EGR spacer...

    more problems with engine, please help

    EZ out should work in this case because he broke the bolt during install. EZ out`s usually fail when the broken off piece is seized up bigtime from corrosion. I doubt his threads are seized up enough to break the EZ out.

    Lots of people seem to have issues with Cobra intakes sucking oil up the PCV. (other aftermarket intakes as well). There was a big thread on corral on this not long ago and someone mentioned that Ford Racing now has a newly designed oil baffle available for Cobra intakes to address this...
