    Nitrous Parts Compatability question

    Are most parts, primarily NOS/NX, interchangeable? Specifically I am wondering if an NX bottle opener will work with NOS bottles. Also have similar questions with purge valves and such.

    Has to be somewhere you have easy access to the bottle. With one that small youre gunna be filling it regularly. I would say underneath the mat in the trunk. You might even be able to fit that under the spare.

    I like the regular purge. I like to think it sends shivers of fear down the spine of anyone who chooses to rev on me. I just dont know about the dual 12 foot show purges. Might as well put neon lights on em and have them pulse like machine guns. :)

    I have a NOS kit but if I had it to do over I would go with NX. Both kits are pretty much the same however NX solinoids are probably a little better plus they rate their kit at the wheels while the others rate at the flywheel. I am not sure that anything under a 125 shot requires a dyno tune...

    Tire choice...

    Given its not a daily driver out of the Goodyears and the Nitto DRs I would go with the Nittos. BTW BFG makes a 295/35/18 KDW II which might still fit your rim. I just bought a pair and I like them. The only reason I chose those over the Nitto DRs was because I was tired of going thru tires...

    With an auto I would spray out the hole. With the BFG DRs on the street you should really have no problem with either gear choice. At the track 4.10s might be a little tall for spraying in first. FWIW the Nitto DRs last a lot longer however they dont get near as good a hookup as the BFGs...

    Theres a big difference between 550whp on boost and the same number on nitrous for the reasons already stated in this thread. I call major BS on anyone spraying anything over 150 on stock internals and it lasting very long if not blowing up the intake right away it wont be long before something...

    I ran 285/35 Nitto DRs for nearly two years. Went thru quite a few bottles on them with no rear end trouble. They were good tires but I recently switched to KDW II's. So far I prefer the BFG's. They are cheaper and seem to grip very near the Nitto DRs on dry and way better on wet of course...
