    MGW shfiter questions

+1 They both said it best. I've had mine on for over a year now and have no complaints.

Wear on the Inside of Both Rear Wheel Wells

See the previous reply and its link. It is probably wearing off because of all the sand, salt and whatever else is hitting it. Just clean it up, rough it a little and reapply with some undercoating that you can buy at an auto parts store.

Ideas to save gas (other than taking your foot out of it)

FYI, if there are any police officers on the board, the above post was for humor purposes only. :rlaugh:

Ideas to save gas (other than taking your foot out of it)

:uzi: I drive 55 once in a while. That's when the speed limit is 30.

Here's what I read this morning from the local CBS station: http://wcco.com/topstories/local_story_130005840.html

Reduce the speed. It has been shown that driving 70 mph causes around a 20% reduction in gas mileage compared to 55 mph.

Just got 354 miles on my tank!

In stock form, and sometimes slightly modded, it will get that. Mine got close to that. I just filled up with 286 miles on the tank. Just have to take it easy.

    PITA Starter Replacement.

I think there's a third up on top that is hard to see and get to. I've never changed one, so I'm not absolutely positive.

    Gas Mileage

Depending on the load, expect around 25-28 mpg. On a trip a while ago, I averaged about 27.5 with the a/c on.

    fog light installation..help!

Three screws and it's out. Two on top and one on the bottom. On the hardness scale, if you can pump your own gas, you can do this.

    Checked Grounds, electronics still jacked?

Is there power to the fuses? If yes, there must be something wrong in a harness or wire loom someplace. Are the issues on one circuit or many? It could be that a wire has had its coating rubbed off and is grounding out.

    Oil leak at cam cover

That could be one case. Where is it leaking from?

    150 lbs, 850 cubes 858 HP

Even though it weighs so much less, the gas mileage would have to be a little better. It would be cool to see if those made it into production.

    Checked Grounds, electronics still jacked?

If the car grounds and fuses look fine, I would turn to the engine side. Check the battery and alternator to see if they good. If they are, check the engine ground. I don't think it would be water in the fuel/engine as that is confined to one area. It would not cause the electrical in the...

    My car dies/stalls during cruise...

I've only had this happen to me one time a couple years ago. I was slowing down from highway speeds and the engine shut off after I disengaged the clutch. Took it to Ford where they said they updated my computer. Haven't had the problem since.

Just as I get enough $ for the blower...

I agree. Due to the checks and balances that should still be in place with our Democracy, the President should have equal power to Congress which should have equal power to the Judicial system. All three are at work here, not just one dude.

    Hot Air Intake?

Yeah it would heat up the air just a bit, but the air is going through fast enough that it wouldn't make too much of a difference. I would personally go with a plastic CAI as the metal ones get hot.

    Car is hesitating or missing......

Is it intermittent? Does it happen when you turn on the a/c or defrost? If you hear a click and the engine seems to be under a load, then that's the A/C compressor coming on and it is normal. If may feel like a miss because the compressor clutch is engaging for a bit and then disengaging.

Flushed my coolant - Now have problem

Is it leaking from any place? Otherwise the system is burping itself and using up the coolant from the reservoir. Assuming no leak or burn-off, it should be fine very quick.
