Will a SC work on a SD car? Educated answers needed!

Vortech makes plenty of blowers for SD cars so it is entirely possible. You would definetly want to run what ever module they supply to tell the comp that there is more air coming in.

    Code 91 and limp mode

Well I wired some resistors into the harness to trick the comp into thinking egr was there. I believe I have a small exhaust leak before the 02 which would explain a lean mixture. I'll scan it again after I fix the leak. If that doesnt work I have a spare 02 Ill try out.

    Code 91 and limp mode

Anybody know what size resistors to use to trick the comp into thinking the egr is there or whatever? I remember seeing it in on fordfuelinjection.com but cant find it.

    Code 91 and limp mode

THe motor is actually a 289 so running egr is not an option. I need to figure out how to run it without it. I was under the impression that if I just unplug the electrical connector that it would run fine but set a code.

    Code 91 and limp mode

Oh yeah I also have an Egr code because it is not plugged or supplied with vacuum. Should it have vacuum and should I have some sort of diodes on the wires?

    Code 91 and limp mode

My 87 5.0 5 spd goes into limp mode sometimes once it warms up. If I turn it off and turn it right back on it runs fine. I scanned it and got a 91(oxygen sensor, fuel pressure out of specified range, or faulty injector). Is this causing the limp mode or is it something else the scanner is not...

Make sure your Pcv valve/line is clean. I am dealing with the same sort of problem on my 289.

    Limp Mode?

Will a faulty oil pressure sender or low oil level indicator on an 87' 5.0 cause limp mode or are they just for guages and dummy lights? What else can cause limp mode? It only happens after about ten minutes of driving.

    Distributor

I am doing a budget EFI swap and need an '87 HO distributor. What other cars used this? I am planning on buying at a junkyard.

    Where to get 289 parts?

Don't even mess with a carb. EFI is way better and not that hard or costly to do. I have spent less than 300 on my EFI system so far and don't plan on going above 375. Entire EFI kits on Ebay have been going for 150. When you compare this to a good off road carb the price is about the same but...

    5.0 HO EFI on 289

I am putting an 87 EFI setup from a stang on a 68 289 and need verification that this is correct: To account for firing order differences, 13... on HO and 15.... on 289, I just switch the #3 cylinder injector with the #5 injector and the same with the #7 and #4. I am on a very tight budget and...

    5.0 HO EFI on a 289 problems

Is there a way to rewire the existing harness and avoid a cam swap and have it still run decent?

    5.0 HO EFI on a 289 problems

I am putting a 5.0 HO mustang efi system from either an 87 or 89 on my '68 289. My problem is the differing firing orders. Do I just match the injectors to the spark plug that is firing. Does this create a batch firing setup? What exactly is batch firing? Will a cam swap correct my problem. Good...
