    its funny how many ignorent people out there think the higher the rpms the faster the car will be... shifting at 6k on a car that peaks at 4800 will make your times slower not faster.... 4800 is so low that shifting higher will help... but not much more than 5k.... i shift my 01 at 5500 and 5700...

    Check Engine Light

    remove the negative battery terminal and then letit sit a couple min. after taping the brake to drain any power remaining in the system. the light WILL go off after you reconnect it but... it may not stay off if it stays off more than 10 min you sould be good.

    pre 99s peak at 4800... shift at 5k ... you may want to shift at 5200 but ... i doubt it will do anything for you. i would only shift at 5k due to the rpms will be a little higher when you get to the next gear.

    if you get ported and polished heads/cam/intakes with bolt ons and a nice dyno you can see 240rwhp/tq since you have a manual. vs your stock rwhp of 125-130....

    the 99-04 v6 manuals run 15.5s stock not sure on the 05s.... pretty much good comp for the pre 99 gt's... which is sad. with a few bolt ons/mods expect high/mid 14s DONT BUY an auto they suck.

    what size tire for 17x10.5

    245s for a 9 wide is WAY to narrow and it will look like CRAP .... bad way to go. for a 10.5.... you are going to need a massive tire... like a 315... maybe more.
