Here's something that just came to mind. Are the tone rings the same tooth count on the live axle vs the IRS? I'm suddenly thinking that if I put the 95 ABS system in, that it won't understand what's coming from the sensors on the IRS.
Next project is the hole in the floor. Got a new floor pan there's only two bad spots so I'm just going to cut those out rather than deal with the entire subframe structure. I'll cut it back to the subframe and weld to it.
Blocking plate and flywheel installed. New ARP bolts torqued to spec. I RTVd the plate to the block. Picked up some ¾" bolts to hold it temporarily while the RTV sets up. I figured that'd make it way easier to install the bellhousing and put some extra schmuts behind the back of the oil pan.
Also, I think I'm going to take the Cobra intake to the same machine shop and have them port match everything and gimme another 5mm on the throttle body opening.
Pulled the bellhousing off. Gonna take it to the local car wash this weekend and pressure wash TF out of it. Ecological disaster indeed.
I don't think I want to :leghump: with the bearing retainer since nothing is leaking and this was an off the shelf T5z that had all the relevant upgrades 15yrs...
I swear, it'll be these little parts that will be the death of me. Throwout fork pivot is bent. Throwout fork is missing one of the retaining clips for the pivot ball. Ugh.
What's the consensus?
I've gotta take the bell housing off the transmission so I can degrease TF out of it. Easier to mount the bell housing to the block and then offer up the transmission after the fact? Or go through the difficult task of reaching those upper bellhousing bolts with the...
