    New maaco commercial

I had a friend do what ppl above have mentioned. He dissasembled and prepped his truck, had them spray it and it still looks great 3 years later. It's become a DD since then and i've been impressed with it. But I think like with any body shop it's hit and miss. Depends on the painter, how...

    Show me your 4 eyes!

My brother caved and got the Mach 1 rims for his '83, seeing that notch sporting them is making me even more excited to start work on his 5 lug swap!

    My baby is dead!

+1 on open diffs in the winter, I had a beater '87LX 4 cyl car that couldn't get out of its own way, got stuck on the side of the street constantly and horrible gas mileage to boot. Best winter car i've ever had was a 88-91 civic. Cheap to buy, cheap to maintain and I didn't care what happened...

Is there a site to find vehicle repair history?

I used to work for a Dodge dealership and they can provide you a printout like this at no cost but it may only show the warranty work as many cars don't make it back to the dealer for anything but. If there was maintenance done some places will provide it as well.

    Rant.... Wannabe mustang mechanics

Even if you bring in a part number you can still get questioned. I shredded a belt but managed to get the part number off the old one. I walked in and gave him the part number and his immediate reaction was "what type of car is this for?" then the usual line of questioning ensued... The sad...

What to and what not to do with your new fox

And that's why I was saying I wish there was a higher caliber shop I knew I could trust in town where a 5.0L mustang was absolutely nothing special. Not like down at CT where a 3.8L windstar is a muscle-car they all clamor over to do burnouts with. TO THE OP: I would say front bearings are...

What to and what not to do with your new fox

I've worked or my friends have at most of the service centers in my area while we were all in college and you'd be surprised what happens to your car when it's left overnight. It's made me completely paranoid and it's why I avoid shops at all cost. I have stories upon stories that would make...

What to and what not to do with your new fox

+1 when I had my alignment done after redoing my entire front end my car dissapeared for a test drive... But there's just some stuff you can't do at home on your parking pad. I wish there were more competent shops in town here.... I agree with everything mentioned above, do your own work...

How old were you when you got your first stang?

I bought the '89 LX when I was 20, it's been a long road to where it is today but I still love it.

    Removing a shell? R.I.P. Mustang

I've also had shells removed for free in the same fashion as slow95GT described. Sometimes they take a few days but I have yet to pay for having one removed.

    eibach 4cyl springs

I just happen to have the spring rates for those springs from my own looking around deciding what to run. The spring rates for your springs are as follows: F 394-628 1.2" drop R 142-205-296 1.0" drop They are listed as SN95 V6 springs or SVO springs The V8 Eibach springs are as follows: F...

Good Deal or What? t5 swap?

Yeah that seems like too much. I pieced together a complete 5spd FOX swap with used parts for my brother's car including the trans for $450 and parts are rare and hard to come by around here. I'd wait for a better deal if you can.

    2009 Challenger

The "demo" car i've seen pics of was a standard with a pistol grip style shifter on it.

    2009 Challenger

I saw it has a fairly limited run this year, i'd LOVE to see a supercharged SRT-8 Challenger for the second run! I'd prefer something twin screw but centrifugal would work just fine for me! This battle is getting heated and it will be excited what the new Mustang will have to sway buyers. The...

    2009 Challenger

I am a big fan of it but with only 425HP on the SRT8 it really isn't competition for the GT500. If Dodge is willing to jump into the musclecar market again with both feet they'll need to match the 500HP that Ford has put on the table. Aside from that, I really like it, my only negative comment...
