    You can remove the shifter and check for play to rule that out. Otherwise, just drain the oil... if it's magnetic it's time for a rebuild or new trans.

    I like the white int. I also like black, but the 7-up isn't really that rare. It's only difference was the white int. and the first car to have the turbines which where stock on 91 gt's. And yes, most are AOD's, but there's one less now :)

    That's the u-joint you might need. As long as you need one. I thought my car had a squeek in the rear too for a while until I notice my speedo bouncing to the same squeek. Turned out to be my speedo cable needed lube. To this day I still don't know why it sounded like it was in the rear.

    Replace both, it looks like something got in there and it could potentially be a big problem, or it could be nothing. But I would replace both sides just in case. It's cheap insurance.

    The NSS only interupts the starter. When you turn the key on, the fuel pump should still prime.

    +1 I pulled mine out, I just couldn't understand why someone would leave it in when it's dropped. It's just one more bolt to pull it. Why fight around it over one bolt???

    Starting issues

    Does it seem like it's dying because it's under load even though it's in neutral? Could be a trans problem. Or, might just be time to change the fuel filter and it's not getting a good enough flow of fuel. That would allow it to run okay while it's free but as soon as you let the clutch out...

    Depending on what clutch you want and how much you want done, anywhere from 300-600 around here. +1 for DIY. Save a couple hundred.
