    Mach 1 or 2004 Cobra

    Once you step on the gas in a Cobra your mind will be made up ! Also if you are into mods it's extremely easy to get major hp gains (70hp, 100ftlb) from a Cobra. Make sure you drive both before you decide, the price of a Cobra should be around 30K right now.

    For the S/C'ed Cobras the compression ratio has been lowered to 8.5:1 for detonation control at high boost, unfortunately for normal cruising it hurts efficiency. I do manage to get right around 20mpg going to work with a mix of hwy and city driving. Not bad for the performance level of the car :).

    If you plan on buying the fully loaded '05 GT you may want to look into an '04 Cobra. Most dealers let them go for under 33K. I'm sure the '05 is better in alot of areas but you can't argue with 390 underrated hp !

    It's my daily driver, 50 miles a day back & forth to work. I'm sure in the winter it will get some days off but not many.

    Wow, I was thinking 2 years but that's 3 years! I think I'm gonna give my dealer a call today about his inventory of 14 2004 Cobras, he should be dealing. Unfortunately the lease would not work for me because I put on about 18K miles a year. This is killin' me :).

    Unfortunately it doesn't look good for the Cobra price either then. Are we talking $40K, yikes! Gonna have to increase my Cobra Fund allocation to be able to even think about getting one :(.
