    possible oil pressure problems

You had the drill in reverse when priming right?

    Hatch rattles bad.

Also check your hatch weatherstrip. They shrink over time and allow the hatch to ride loose. A new weatherstrip tightens things up. 5.0 resto has them pretty cheap.

How do I fix TB Whistle...

Good luck. I tried everything with the PP 70MM I put on our '87. Drilled the hole in the throttle plate like the stock one. Smoothed out the IAC ports, etc. Still whistles. Not as bad and it runs good but it still whistles at part throttle. I'm gonna scrap it and get an Accufab.

rockerarms loose when valves are closed?

Your lifters are probably just bled down. What you need to do is readjust first before you go buying pushrods. TDC, take to zero lash and then 3/4 turn (or torque if pedistal mounts) . Your lifter plunger should compress about .030. I think the small amount of play you're feeling up and down is...

Can someone tell me/measure clutch fork travel?

The adjustables are nice. Then to adjust you don't need to install washers under it. You can set it up with the bell on and the transmission out. When you take the old one out you can set it to the same length as the origional. Then you lengthen it as much as you can without having any...

TKO-500 & TKO-600 users: how high in RPM can you shift?

Some guys will drill a hole at about 6 O-clock in the bell housing and measure with a feeler gauge. Others measure the movement of the pressure plate. Some measure through the starter hole with the starter removed. I don't measure mine. When I put it together I shim the pivot as much as possible...

TKO-500 & TKO-600 users: how high in RPM can you shift?

I had the same problem you're having with the Tremec Tri-ax. The offset shift spring for 3rd gear just isn't strong enough. I'd hit in between 1 and 3 on the 2-3 shift more often than I liked. The Pro 5.0 has a stronger offset shift spring which makes it easier to hit the 2-3 shift. As far as...

Italian LX just curious which shifter are you're using.

TKO-500 & TKO-600 users: how high in RPM can you shift?

The other thing you have to watch is the clutch adjustment. Not just cable adjustment but the clutch fork pivot. I have my fork pivot shimmed out to put the clutch fork as far rearward as possible in the window. This can help dramatically if the clutch isn't releasing fully because it gives you...

TKO-500 & TKO-600 users: how high in RPM can you shift?

Most likely you're looking at a clutch problem at that rpm. There are alot of clutches out there that have poor disengagement at higher rpms. Spec cluches are very good at high rpm release. The Centerforces, Zoom, etc seem to struggle for the most part in that department.

TKO-500 & TKO-600 users: how high in RPM can you shift?

Powershifting any synchronized trans much over 7,000 is hit or miss. I've dealt with this for years. The fine teeth on the synchronizer will do their job to align before engaging which blocks the shift. It really doesn't have much to do with the shift lugs. That's why I had my TKO faceplated...

    Installed Coil-Overs....Problem

You probably just need wheels with less backspacing. I run skinnys on the front so I never ran into that issue but if the alignment is right on, all you can do is go less backspacing or possibly a narrower tire to give you some clearance. Might even think about a good quality set of spacers...

Lets straighten out my suspension before I buy everything.

SmockDoiley, I'm thinking back to the control arms that I used with my K Member. I forgot I had replaced them long before I got the K-member with a Ford Motorsport Kit. Thing is, I still have them in the attic and they're already clearanced for the QA-1 K member. If you're interested I'll give...

    Tubular control arms and springs

I remember I put them on and had to clearance the edges so they'd clear. I just moved them up and down and ground a little at a time till they didn't rub.

    Tubular control arms and springs

I have the QA-1 on my '84. When I first got it, I ran my stock control arms and springs for several years with it before I switched to tubular arms and coil overs. Don't see what the difference is on the '85 arms. I do recall having to modify slightly to install but it was no big deal.

K-members that DO NOT move the front wheels forward

I have the QA-1 on my car. I went with the adjustable tubular control arms and adjusted them all the way back and it still is probably 1/2"- 3/4" forward from the factory wheel placement. The problem is if you have your front end lowered, certain ways you turn the wheel and hit a bump it rubs...

Fixed the typo 3/4 turn is correct.

how do i put on my new 1.6 roller rockers?

Most rockers studs are 50 ft-lbs. For rocker adjustment I always use the firing order method. Put #1 on top dead center. Both valves closed. Adjust both rockers to zero lash and then 3/4 turn preload and tighten down the allen screw. Then turn the engine 90 degrees and adjust #3. Continue...

    Anderson N-91 cam?

The 111 is one step higher than the 91. I shift it at 7,600-7800. It wakes up hard at 4500 and pulls hard to 7800. Pretty radical idle. Sorry, don't have any soundclips. Specs are 248 / 258 @ .050 .576 lift

    Anderson N-91 cam?

You'll be real happy with it. As set above, go with at least 4:30s but preferably 4:56s.
