    Dyno results Underdrive pulleys

With a smaller than stock crank pulley everything is being driven slower. Even the idler pulleys driven by the belt. If the crank pulley was larger than stock everything would turn faster. With the driven pulleys, water pump, alternator, etc., larger makes them turn slower. So with the...

    Dyno results Underdrive pulleys

Not correct. The crank pulley drives everything that the belt turns 25% slower including the alternator and power steering pulleys. With a larger water pump pulley additional underdrive is produced by the percent size change in addition to the 25% produced by the crank pulley.

I have ASP pulleys. The people that manufacture them for most companies that use their own logo. http://www.aspracing.com/frame.htm

    Dyno results Underdrive pulleys

Doesn't hurt a thing for your lights to dim somewhat. As long as you have a good battery and don't sit idling too long it's not a problem. I had a three pulley set on my 88 Mustang for years and never ran the battery down. I did use a lower ac fan setting in heavy traffic. You just have to...

    Coil Over Suspension

Thanks, that's quite a weight savings. Are they aluminum or is most of the savings in the smaller springs?

    Coil Over Suspension

The pics look like they are aluminum. Are they lighter than stock? How is the ride with those springs compared to stock? Stiffer, softer, same?

Best torque converter for a blown Stang?

Get it dynoed with the factory converter locked via programming. Determine true peak torque rpm. Buy a converter that stalls 500 rpm less than that number. Just be sure the converter manufacturer knows your actual numbers and all the vital static's he needs. Once it's installed the...

underdrive pullies-to grind or replace bolt?

I've used bolts in aluminum for years without a problem. I do use anti-seeze on the threads and make sure I have a bolt at least 2D in thread engagement and torqued properly. Nothing wrong with using bolts in aluminum if done right.

    C&L shroud mounting question

What is this hole for in the C&L shroud? It's the hole that faces the radiator. The bottom hole of course mounts like the factory. Am I missing something or is this for used of a tie strap to the ABS lines? http://www.mustangmods.com/ims/u/1291/1870/121699.jpg

    gears and the automatic

I doubt mileage would be much different in city traffic between the two gears. On the highway the 4:10 is a bit much. If you go with a loose converter, Precision Industries 4000 stall for example, you can keep the 3.31 gear and get more et gains than any gear. Your city driving will...

Thinking about purchasing headers... advice needed

I ran a 10.65 1/4 mile et with ported 1 5/8" shortie Mac headers on my 347 when I first installed it in the car. This was with a ported Cobra intake. Went to 1 3/4" long tubes and a ported Victor 5.0 intake and ran 10.4's. Did finally get it down to a 10.3 with other changes.

    Cold Air Intake Time!

You will need a tune with the C&L or JLT. Here's my results: 12.907 @ 104.87 mph with Race C&L, factory air box with a performance tune, 13.241 @ 103.19 mph. These were back to back passes. My mods for my 06 automatic are the SCT Pro Racer tuner, Granatelli radiator support, Power...

    dyno numbers for 06 GT

With a good set of headers and H pipe I bet you will be over 400. The factory exhaust manifold has a very small outlet, about 2" and lots of casting build up making it even smaller. At least in mine there was until I ground it out.

    FORD X PIPE

I would be surprised if you gain much from H pipe back regardless of what you do. The factory exhaust manifolds have a small 2" (appox.) diameter outlet and lot of cast build up making it even smaller. I think with headers you might see some good gains. I just ported my factory manifold...

    Modification Advice forAdding Torque

Higher compression ratio and more cubic inches is a good source for torque. Reducing weight doesn't add torque but the results are the same. Of course there's always nitrous or any other power adder.

Ford Racing CMVC Delete under $100

It's both. SCT program Pro states that the plates are open at .60 Thottle Position release at 2250 rpm, .475 TP release @ 2900 rpm and full open at 3250 with a zero TP release. This can all be changed with the SCT Xcal2 Pro.

Has anyone ever tried plumbing their AC into their intake?

With an HP Tuner you can tune multiple cars with the same tuner. They are not locked to a particlar vehicle. Does have to be the same year of which they give you two years to choose. Unfortunately they are not making any for Ford yet. They keep saying it's coming. http://www.hptuners.com/
