    Well,...that Wasn't Fun.

Yep. Not quite up to discussions of succombing to tolulene hallucinations, but it's definitely an improvement. :D

    Well,...that Wasn't Fun.

Wait, you have a seven page thread detailing the finer points of bad bumper paint, in excruciating detail, in which you provide professional prose that has people coming back for seconds of your descriptions as to what it feels like to run over your foot with a three-wheeled floor jack, and you...

    Used Gears

I have a buddy that does this for a living who did mine for free. This is not a job for a beginner DIYer. I've done one gear swap myself, but it took a lot of to means I still had whine. plan on 3 hours at your local shop rate, but don't take it to just any mechanic. You want someone...

    Well,...that Wasn't Fun.

Stance is nice, but I like the black wheels. Sounds like you should drive with the windows down. :jester:

    Used Gears

When you say "it" only has 20k miles, it makes me think you may be getting a full rear axle rather than just a gear set. If you're getting a full rear axle, then none of the info below applies. If you're getting a 20k mile ring and pinion, I'm not sure it's worth the effort. Getting a used...

    2005 V6 Purchase Advice

CAI won't hurt anything to leave on, probably doesn't make any difference performance-wise. Changing back to stock exhaust shouldn't be a big hassle either.

What Do You Think Is Wrong With My Mustang?

Automatic or manual? I'm assuming auto for this comment. When you say it revs but you get no response, my first thought is transmission is going. Have you had it serviced at all? I'm guessing your issue has little to do with fuel system. Clogged injectors or fuel filter would result in a miss...

    Well,...that Wasn't Fun.

Congrats! Great story as usual. Glad to hear that others can make a quick job into an all day ordeal. This line made me giggle. Old lady thinks it's weird, since I'm sitting on the toilet with the door shut. Gotta love these new tablets.

Does it fit convertibles? What about GT500 with the subwoofer?

Found And Purchased A 14 Track Pack

Miner: have you pulled the clutch assist spring? Great mod, slightly increases pedal effort, but makes friction point much more natural. Lots of Boss and Shelby guys are pulling them. Made my car feel much more natural.

    Anybody else experiencing project burnout?

Looked back at my post on page 3, a month and a half ago. Fuel line plumbing is still kicking my tail. I've ordered parts for it 5 times now. Wedding is din 10 days, so I'm back on hold, even though the FedEx guy came today with the last two fittings. Daughter comes first...or just self...

Congrats! I've got a different trans, so can't comment to your shifting questions. Pics?

Keep My Car Or Order A '14?

Sounds sweet! Love GB. My son has a GB vert too. The Recaros are awesome. I hate driving anything else now. I think the biggest problem on the S197 board is that there's a lot of noobs who have never had a performance car before, and didn't grow up working on cars, so they are intimidated...

Keep My Car Or Order A '14?

Store it for a while. Give it a couple of months where you don't even look at it, then take it for a drive. I was scheming every way I could to keep my 95, but after I went all winter without driving it or even seeing it, I got it out this spring to clean it up with the idea of putting a...

Shelby Cs1 Wheels With Michelin Pilot Super Sport Tires Mounted

Just came in from detailing my car. Was convinced that I wasn't going to get the CS1s because I want something MUCH easier to clean than my PP wheels, but looking at yours again, they don't look too bad to detail. I mocked up a SS build of my car on the Shelby website, and did the black...

Drivetrain 2013 Gt W/t Track Pack

Suspension work... New LCAs, UCA at a minimum. A good set of springs, along with an adjustable panhard bar if you've got the budget for it. I HIGHLY recommend talking to Van at Revan Racing. He's a guru with setting up the S197 chassis, and he races what he builds. Unbeatable customer...

    Well,...that Wasn't Fun.

I get it... Easy for me to forget I was pretty much out of the car world for several years because of other priorities. Sounds like flipping the Cobra now, although it might briefly ruffle the wife's feathers, might be the best bet, before you get too attached to it. Whatever you do, keep...

    Well,...that Wasn't Fun.

Simple solution, really. I can highly recommend it, as it's the one I've been following for years: You need a project car-one that you can do crazy stuff with, get creative, take your time (been working on the 67 for 10 years, and have NEVER driven it!), and make it YOURS. AND you need a...

Shelby Cs1 Wheels With Michelin Pilot Super Sport Tires Mounted

I hear you--I really like the color on my SVTPP wheels. I wasn't that big of a fan of dark wheels when they first came out, but I REALLY like how they look on the brighter colors.
