If it's worth doin', you might actually save a bit sending to me and lettin' my guy do it. Not sure what shipping would be, but I had it done in Dec'24. He's an SF dude that serves at Fort Bragg with me, and does this from home, which is probably why he charges next to nothin. Wants to maybe...

All good brother. I went back and found my text convo with him and he did indeed charge $100 for all 3 pieces. I had gotten it ported by Matt Moss, who added ceramic paint. I didn't know if that would be a problem but he said it would blast right off like spray paint, and it did.

Black Jack: Now a little less of a rust bucket

Thankfully, Black Jack has been pretty good to me for a month and a half, but all good things must come to an end. Clutch time: I've had the feeling that the clutch was near its end of life, as it's recently required a lot more adjustment and a lot more pedal to fully engage/disengage that it...

I honestly don't know. I told him that I wanted it to have a texture to it and not be smooth. We didn't get into it any further. I didn't think a powder coat was considered paint, though.

Yep... I'm pretty sure mine was sand/bead blasted to prep it.

I dunno, but I had an intake powder coated by a local guy who did it for like $100. So, can't be that involved.

Mustang5L5’s progress thread - Rear window fun

I'm told it's hard to get parts for old school T56s, though, which is what I have in all 3 of my cars.

Yes. I have solid drop mounts on a UPR crossmember, and it fit under the 2.5" Kaenen cowl. Never heard of anyone else doing that with a 2.5". And, I had the stock spacer. Any 4" should fit it, no problem. With the current hood, I had to have the thinner spacer. Now, I can't get the...

Progress Thread Hoopty v2.0 - It All Snowballed

Switching to this thread was a good idea. Also, I fee like I've met ya, now that I've seen ya on the boobtube. It's crazy to me that it blew up the same day you fixt the TFS stuff. Just morbid curiousity, now that removing the turbo makes it a moot point, but what did you have total timing...

Liked your fox carnage vid. I wonder what happened.

No, that one's in the Reef Blue car, "Grover", in the background. It has a Super Victor 363. Street manners are worse, but easy to work on and very clean looking. The dark blue car, Father Time, is a 331, but both are pretty close to each other in build, aside from the intakes. Both have -...

Very happy that I chose the Box-R for my combo. Great street manners. Tough to fit under the Heat Extractor hood. It fit nicely, with solid drop mounts, under the 2.5" Kaenen.

    NOS Carlite Replacement Windshield

If you get a crack, definitely recommend filling it with Glue cement whatever that s*** is to keep it from spreading. Not only does Ensure it won't spread but it also cleans up the chip/crack

I did one of these recently. They don't look like they'd store too well, or I'd pick up a couple spares.

Makes sense. I'll give a try, and thanks for the explanation.

Chemical Guys snow foam and a foam cannon for me. I waterless wash after maybe 1 drive when it doesn't need much more than a dusting. I have no idea how guys get away without using a drying cloth/microfiber towel. Any dust beads up on the car if I don't. Would like to better understand if...

I agree. For anything with more than 3.25" stroke, I prefer Dart, but for the $600 difference, I'd be happy to have the Boss.

From this thread, I posted the following order of 8.2 deck blocks... I still think we ought to have a sticky about aftermarket blocks that contains all the info we can find on them, but am atm too busy to do all of the research:

No hands on experience. Only drawback I've heard is they have short cylinder skirts.
