Black Jack: Now a little less of a rust bucket

Mobil 1 0W-40. In my other cars I can go thinner, but this car seemingly has some pretty large clearance.

Black Jack: Now a little less of a rust bucket

I've been in the doors in all three cars, recently. This time, Black Jack's windows, while working, were taking forever. The window motor was worn out, and ai was surprised to find that it was OEM, just like Grover's that I pulled out last week. I'll sock it away too and rebuild them one day...

    Engine Crankcase vent tube “relocation”?

No, it literally is a vacuum leak in the sense that its air that enters the intake's vacuum port, bypassing the throttle body. But you're right that it may not be any more airflow than stock. My point is that IF it is, it will idle differently, and then you can adjust the stop screw as needed...

Mustang5L5’s progress thread - Rear window fun

Yep. Definitely wrong. Should go up on throttle blip. Not sure that narrows it down. Doesn't eliminate fuel pump or hose, but my instinct is with yours at the AFPR. Not sure this will mean anything either, but what happens with throttle blip when you don't have the vacuum on it?

    Engine Crankcase vent tube “relocation”?

It's essentially a vacuum leak if you still have a PCV system, but not a problem for SD. Depending on how freer flowing it is, you might have to adjust the throttle stop to maintain your original idle RPM. Just run it both baffled and filtered. The only negative trade off I can think of is...

I'd check fuel filter flow direction before paying for AFPR fixes.

Black Jack: Now a little less of a rust bucket

https://www.facebook.com/share/16a7L5xVRD/ If I bought that, I could swap: - rear hatch (mine was dented in the accident) - rear bumper (same) - Driver's front fender (oxidized & missing attchment points) - Some minor interior parts - radiator (mine is leaking, now) Then, resell the car at a...

Progress Thread Father Time: High-$ anti-dent defense system

Not sure what you mean, man. First pic shows the OEM key with the Ford logo. Last pic shows the non-OEM key with "FORD" missing. Also, the locks look different in the way the keys slot in & the black paint that scrapes off.

Progress Thread Father Time: High-$ anti-dent defense system

When the boys painted Father Time, they put on some LMR door locks, and this might be the most anal I've ever felt, but I did not like them. Happened to have an NOS OEM lockset in my stash, and put them on tonight. Took the time to ensure the window tracked properly, & replaced and freased the...

Black Jack: Now a little less of a rust bucket

I love me some Stoptech Rotors with Hawk HPS pads! I went too far with the pads and ruined the cheap rotors I had on it, last. Didn't like the way they were rusting anyways.

Black Jack: Now a little less of a rust bucket

Drove black jack 3 hours to a B-day party for my 1 y/o nephew. My other nephew and neice are pictured. I'm doing my part keep foxbody resale up in a couple decades  These little die-cast models turned out better than I expected and not too far off in looks from BJ.

Fox Ideas for Theft Deterrence in Storage

I mean, since it is operable, then IF they tell you to make it operable, just put the wheels back on.

Fox Ideas for Theft Deterrence in Storage

Kinda time consuming to steal a car on blocks or stands. Makes it seem less valuable, too.

Progress Thread Progress Thread kinda stalled- looking to get it back going again!

Honestly don't know. Can a naturally aspirated 5.0 replace my '00 F250 Powerstroke with a 7.3, 13,700 lb trailer weight & 20k lbs gross towing weight? If so, I paid $6.5k. What could I buy its replacement for?

Progress Thread Grover: Window motor replacement & OEM rebuild

That's probably all it needs. It got to the point it was intermittent, but when it worked, it worked just fine. I got into it tonight, because after unloading it from the trailer, I couldn't get the window up, but after a couple light taps on the motor's mount while pushing the button, it went...

Progress Thread Grover: Window motor replacement & OEM rebuild

Have not broken out the tools for this one in a long time. I have an LMR spare in a box, but can't bear to toss this one. Can't remember, is this what Jrichker did a rebuild thread on or was it the lock actuators? It sure looks designed to be serviced.

Mustang5L5’s progress thread - Rear window fun

I used a couple sets of vice-grips to compress the spring. Honestly, I remember it being a bit hairy, but I got it in there without launching it across the garage.
