    Does your insurance company know you have a blower on the car? That could cause issues by itself and raise your rates or they may not cover you. I'm looking into agreed value insurance when I put the blower on since I'm almost always with the car and I don't drive it over 4000 miles/year...

    When I had my wing off for over a year I never put silicone around the plugs. I didn't get any water in the trunk, so I felt like I didn't need it at all. I'm not sure if it would screw anything up. Maybe someone who has used it can help! Good luck with the decision though.
