    Help me help a friend

Keep it simple, ask your friend how fast he wants to go and what his budget really is. hell, you could yank an explorer motor for cheap, throw a fogger on it and make your goals easy. Wouldn't last long, but this is just for bragging rights yeah? "I made 500hp, for about a month"

Got my car out for spring and guess what I found?

Well, I'd like to buy the best parts and make the most power possible. I like to do things once and I don't want to leave any power on the table. However, my shortblock is in great shape so a stroker kit is not an option AT THIS POINT, however, if I could put a bigger head on it that could...

Got my car out for spring and guess what I found?

My driver's side head is cracked! There is a crack that starts inside the exhaust port (closest to front bumper) and wraps around towards the front where my power steering bracket is located. I have had these Aluminum heads for many years now, and so it looks like I will be doing a much needed...

    Options on what to do?

I would personally add a nice set of aluminum heads, higher flowing intake of your choice, add a nice cam since they are cheap and you'll be into the motor already, MAF conversion, and a turbo....should meet your goals

    Value of a good T-5

If I was looking for a t5 to "drop in" I wouldn't buy it unless it had a rebuild sheet or service receipts....been burned before. Id buy a worn out t5 for a couple hundred bucks

    Aluminum Heads Expected Gains

exact numbers is all speculation but you'll feel the power for sure. I would change out the intake and cam as well. Selling the heads, cam and intake will help pay for most of the new set up and you'll be happy you did. I remember my first HCI swap over stock....Whoa!

    boost limits on stock block

Your CR will limit the amount of boost you can run safely with pump gas....Id probably limit it to 6-8psi or so depending on how it reacts when you're tuning. you'll probably be in the neighborhood of block splitting power any ways. I boosted my 357 with 10:1 CR and Iam glad I didn't lower the...

Completed rear seat delete kit. homemade

I like it but I would have done 2 things different 1st, put the battery box in the spare well and make a hidden access door so you can get to your battery 2nd, if you're insistent on running subs, id mount them flush into the delete kit and make some air tight space under there somewhere so your...

    Help build my dream car

I think you got good advice here. Here's my .02 if you want the car to have your hand print on it and you can do the work, buy a NICE roller with everything but the motor/trans....they are out there esp this time of year. Id jump right into a 351-based windsor with a strong 5 speed OR Like...

LX needs a different rear spoiler

Yes, that's the wing. I COULD BE WRONG, but I believe the cobra spoiler matches up to the GT spoiler...not the LX spoiler It's been so long since I messed with spoilers

    Mean Exhaust

Just buy some electrically controlled cut-outs. When you want loud, hit the button. When you see a cop, hit the button again. I don't think cut-outs sound very healthy (kinda a un-tuned sound) but you'll wake the dead and that seems to be what you want!

    new to mustang building.

Also agree with others...with a factory block, you'll be on borrowed time. The block could last a few years, or a few hours. Depends on how you treat it and tune it. I'd run a 351 based motor with a bit of boost and you're there!

FAST or Big Stuff 3, or others are great....but you don't need them SCT 3 bank will do the job on your A9L

    AutoMeter Tach (where to mount)

hung mine right in front of my rear view mirror with the shift light aimed right at my right retna. It's bright, visable, dangerous as hell, been pulled over for obstruction of my rear-view, but looks so bitchin!
