    Mine was retarded I usually run about 32 degrees advance without a spout. When I checked it it was about 20 degrees. Lost alot of power and lucky I did not blow the engine apart. It happened during Fun Ford Weekend.

    check and make sure no leaks in the fuel system then I would check your timing, check plugs, cap rotors when was the last time you had a tune up, fuel filter? etc. My timing was off on my car and my miles was about where yours are.

    It will run real lean when I had 19 # injectors on and went to the dyno it was at 19.0 to one on the air fuel ratio I went to 30# and it was running at a nice 13.0 to one.

    when I had a P head setup I used an E cam retarded 4 degrees and for roller rockers get yourself some 1.6 gold crane or harland sharps. My heads were milled though.

    most installs will take at least 10-12 hours without intercooler and about 16-18 with so it all depends.

    I used to run P heads they were milled .020 with a e-cam setup which I retarded the cam shaft 4 degrees that set up was fantastic for top end pull from the eight to the end of the quarter it went as much as 27 MPH fro the eight to the end of the quarter with 4.30 gears.     8.5 inch is all you need I ran them in Street warrior when I was in that class and I ran 11 psi and launching the car at 5800-6000 rpm off a 2 step what a rush!

    I use the micky thompson drag radials they came out with I use 11 PSI of air do a burnout and launch out at 5400 rpm no problem.
