    T&L Engines F-up...

well, mine finally arrived. I'll be sure to post anything positive or negative once it gets dynoed and put in the car. It is in the hands of the local, well-regarded, builder who is rebuilding my original 302 as a 331, which will hopefully make it into another Ford project. I got so...

T&L or TandL engines experience? - crate engines w/warranty?

The wait is finally over . . . well, the OP FINALLY got his engine. I'm not going to dwell on the wait at this point - trying to let go of the past - but I do have the engine. My wait is finally over. The EZ-EFI had some issues at idle with the butterflies closing, and a replacement one is...

31" radiators thread - battery relocation mandatory.

It's the Summit BCI-60187 - they really seem to do their fit homework It looks like Be Cool really does their homework. Although you don't see it from the photo on the site, this one has the rearward filler neck you see in the photo above. Very trick. Be Cool 60187 - Be Cool Custom-Fit...

31" radiators thread - battery relocation mandatory.

This was an interesting mod/interesting radiator this is from Maxum96 from vintage-mustang.com. (see attachment) Either he modded his radiator, or Be Cool (IIRC) did something custom to his radiator to put the filler behind the radiator. I could do something similar to the Summit I bought.

31" radiators thread - battery relocation mandatory.

I had to take off the outer edge of the fan shroud gasket on the 26.125" flex-a-lite fan and move it inboard slightly - it's just wider than the 26" core. It would be nice if these things were a little more standardized, especially when you're ordering them from the same reseller. I'm...

31" radiators thread - battery relocation mandatory.

This came out of my experience with a Summit/Northern radiator that will NOT work on a '70 (or any pre-69-70 year, I assume there is less hood clearance up front due to the flatter hood rather than the curved '69-70 hood? The issue is that a 31" radiator is too wide to sit on the strut rod...

    Summit/Northern Radiator Mounting - Summit 380100 ok?

I really should start a separate thread for 31" radiators . . . jbuening, that could be the best and cheapest solution. The entire reason I got the Summit/Flex-a-Lite low-profile combo was for low price and thinness. I don't want to have to hack apart my core support or interfere with a...

    Summit/Northern Radiator Mounting - Summit 380100 ok?

yes, there is hood interference. I'm going to end up getting a shorter radiator or having the bottoms of the side tanks cut at an angle and re-welded rather than mess around with the frame rails. Either that, or go with a 16" tall, 31" wide griffin radiator. I should have done something like...

    Anyone try this yet???

This definition sounds about right: "Nemesis |ˈneməsis| Greek Mythology a goddess usually portrayed as the agent of divine punishment for wrongdoing or presumption " ;) nemesis |ˈneməsis| noun ( pl. -ses |-ˌsēz|) (usu. one's nemesis) the inescapable or implacable agent of someone's or...

    One wire alternator for a 1965 . . .

I went with PA Performance's 3G kit. Why not go with the one that kept Ford passenger cars going under a high electrical demand day in and day out for (IIRC) over a decade? I think most of the catalog units are based on AC Delco alts that don't have as good of a reputation for reliability...

    Mini Tub?

not sure, but start your search here this is a nice wheelhouse kit - don't know if the folding seat is compatible with this, though. It does, basically, make your inner wheelhouse parallel with the frame rail so as the suspension compresses in a turn, you have the most clearance possible...

New 331 is in the car but I have a fan problem.

since this is a cooling thread . . . look at it this way - the external water cooling should help matters. :D I only kid because it's not a serious problem, will get fixed for free, and you know you have a bitchin ride. Meanwhile, I'm still waiting for the dynoed T&L engine to get a fuel...

Would you trade a '67 Mustang vert for...

I thought the Torino Cobras were starting to get $$ at auctions, ebay, etc. Yep, I see them at $30-40k on eBay. Trade for the Torino and you could sell it and buy two decent convertibles. :rlaugh:

Hilarious video! Not a Mustang, but...

aaaand he posted it. that was his own camera too. When I'm that stupid I try to burn the tapes. He's lucky he still has legs - that clutch shrapnel could have gone through both feet or both ankles.

    Aluminum radiator advice

Some summit/northern models have auto hookups, petcocks No argument on the $179 models, but the one I got for $329 (which I don't officially recommend - yet - since the filler neck may just slightly interfere with the hood and require a notch in the hood support structure or the frame, and...

    Aluminum radiator advice

Decurion, that's probably the best question I've heard in months and deserves to be an FAQ. I won't buy a radiator made overseas when there are great options here like Northern/Summit and Griffin, but I too went the Northern route. It's not all together yet, but I see these vast differences in...

4 Point Seat Belt without Harness Bar?

That behind-rear-seat/wheelhouse-and-trans-tunnel mount has me thinking Gonzo, Thanks! For a convertible, those look interesting. The behind-the-rear-seats mounts, I mean, for a harness. They straps could be tucked nicely out of the way . . it would help keep from having to do a...

    car dolly for garage

another idea while it's at the top - if you have another rear end, or easy access to one at a junkyard, you could find a way to attach it (old leaf springs? Rope through the leaf eyes or straps?) to the front subframe. That way, you have a way to wheel it forward and back and jack up the front...

T&L or TandL engines experience? - crate engines w/warranty?

Here's the dyno video with a carb baseline - just shy of 540hp. We'll see how it compares with the EZ-EFI. I hope they can send me both dyno sheets, but I'm expecting the final one with EZ-EFI will be the one. Looks like I'm finally in the home stretch of a long, long road. YouTube - 2102.wmv

    1970 Mustang Transmission Swap

Gear Vendors Overdrive? Have you thought about getting your C6 fixed and getting a Gear Vendors overdrive? Sure they cost a lot, but I bet fixing your C6 and adding a GV would cost the same or less than an AOD swap and then you can have a manual split between each gear for 6 total gears . . .
