please dont kill me but what do you think.

i'm not sure how accurate it was, but a while back i read in some magazine that the FF3 car with the import engine was just for show, and in all of the action shots they used big blocks.

please dont kill me but what do you think.

i wouldn't do it. it's going to be a lot of work, and in the end your car will be worth a lot less. I agree with Shifty, sell the engine and either buy a v8, or get some parts for the 200. if you're just dying to put something different in your car, then look at the 2.3l turbo or SHO engine.

    timing issues

The gear has already been changed out, and i'm not sure which type of vacuum port it's connected to. I've got it hooked up to one of the ports on the carb. The points are set, but i'm not sure about the dwell.

    timing issues

I'm just getting my '66 coupe running again so i can sell it. It's got an '89 5.0 HO with an edelbrock carb, and a new (rebuilt) points distributer i just got from napa. after setting the timing, the car will die at about 1500 RPM. if i disconnect the vacuum advance, it will run fine...

swapped distributer, now no oil pressure.

yeah the oil level is fine, and i already swapped on the steel gear. My father was the one operating the the drill, so i'm not sure which direction he was using it. I'll have to try it again and make sure it's going the correct way.

swapped distributer, now no oil pressure.

well both the oil pressure gauge and the oil pressure switch for the fuel pump aren't showing any pressure, so i'm assuming that i am in fact not getting any pressure. I guess it's possible that the shaft isn't all the way in the oil pump, but wouldn't it need to be for the distributer to be...

swapped distributer, now no oil pressure.

so my old distibuter was bad, so i bought another old points style dizzy, and installed it on my '89 engine. after trying to start the car, i noticed that the fuel pump wasn't coming on (it's on an oil pressure activated switch), and my oil gage wasn't coming up. So basically there's no oil...

How much power can an 8" really take ?

If you're on a budget you can get a used center section off of ebay. look for ones out of mid 70s broncos and trucks. some of them had the factory 31 spline trac-lok limited slip differential.

How much power can an 8" really take ?

Currie or Strange will, but they don't fall into the cheap or free catagories. Also consider an 8.8" out of a fox or newer mustang for a '67. they are about the same width i believe, you'd just need to grind off the suspension mounts and weld on some leaf spring perches. They aren't quite as...

    64-66 turbo mustang headers

:nice: I've been waiting for a '64-'66 kit! I am assuming that you're only going to be selling the headers, but not the cold side or turbo. How much do you estimate they will cost? Also, you didn't mention, but this would make an electric fan necessary right? Thanks, and keep up...

    Rear Suspension

ok.. as far as the axle moving with a pan hard.... it doesn't move that much say you have 6" of travel, 3" of movement either up or down. now say your pan hard bar is 3.5' long if you do the math it only moves 4.1 degrees, making the position of the axle move laterally about 0.07"...

Some pictures of my project... The Mustang SHO

I think it's a cool idea. not everyone needs or wants a V8, and the sho 6 cyl is a cool alternative to running the 200 I6. as far as an AWD mustang goes, i think we can sacrifice a fox body for that.

    motor mounts for '66 coupe

I put an '89 HO into a '66 coupe using the '67 mounts and had no issues. Is it the driveline angle you are concerned about or are there other issues?
