    I've read that it is there as a vibration damper for the stock drivetrain, meaning the steel driveshaft and the stock gears 3.27's. If you changed your gears and/or driveshaft you can supposedly ditch the weight.

    If you want to keep the pinion snubber top plate bracket thingy, then you have to get shorter bolts. I believe the threads are 3/16-18. I got ones that were 2 1/2 inches long, and they were long enough to go thru the housing and the threaded clips.

    Not sure about the 98, but on my 99 I have 9" wide wheels on front, and I have 10.5" wide wheels out back.

    Where to get a replacement leather steering wheel cover??

    When I installed cruise control in my 99 GT, the steering wheel I got from prestige mustang parts didn't have leather in the best shape, so I got a new cover from wheelskins. The seam/stiching isn't as super tight like oem, but if you take your time you can get it to look as good as the picture...

    Wheel Help. Will 20x10 wheels fit in the back?

    They should fit, just make sure you have the correct spacers for oversize aftermarket wheels. I had staggered 20's didn't have any problems with the 20x10's in the back.
