clunking noise in reverse and 1st/2nd at low speeds...

And if you do decide to change it yourself, make sure you do it outside or in a very well ventilated garage, etc... Did mine in the winter, and garage stunk for a couple of weeks.

Plenum , TB & CAI installed. everyone else's make the 'sucking sound' ?

The cai most certainly is adding to the 'whooshing'. But we've upgraded to free flowing filter, bigger/smoother intake tube, ported/polished tb and plenum. I'd have been surprised if I didn't make extra noise ;). And my gas mileage has also improved.

Hey Jeremy....funny I was going to pm you to see how all that was going and then saw this post. Yes, that is a normal sound when you install all that stuff. I had done a cai when I had my 95 integra and it made the same sounds, so wasn't surprised when I did the same with my GT.

    Will 275's fit a 10.5" rim?

I've seen people put a tire on too big a rim and it looks stupid.

Rise of gas prices and tuning

Glad we don't live in Europe. I did some quick checking and conversions and they're paying $8.99/gallon for their 98 octane and $8.84/gallon for their low grade 95 octane.

Have not been on here in a while look what I got!

I saw their ebay listings. If I had the funds I'd be doing that to mine as well.

    wheel fitment option?

If you're swapping ford oem wheel then shouldn't need a ring. If you are going to use an aftermarket wheel, then yes, unless you luck out and it happens to have the same center-bore.

    New daily! Focus zx3 5spd.

Had an '03 ZX3, from my experience with those motors, you'll be changing the water pump every 1 to 2 yrs. Other than that they're ok, nothing to write home about. Also have a 2000 Escort ZX2, pretty much same motor, same issues. But get 35+ mpg, so regular oil changes and a $50 new water pump...

    Advice on 275's up front?

I've got 275's up front and 315's for the rear. 17x9/17x10.5 rim size. Lowered 1.5" on Eibach Pro Kit. Like the look, like the way it rides. No issues with tire/wheel rub. On the highway most of the time and the roads are pretty good here in central NC. Have about 5 miles on back country roads...

Best MPG for 2002 GT automatic 'vert?

Now that it's getting a bit warmer, I've notice that in my daily commute I'm getting around 24mpg. When I'm on the highway I drive 5 over and use my cruise control. Keeps me getting good mpg's and not getting any tickets :D. Don't sell your 'stang, pick up a used 4 cyl. if you're worried...

    Good deal on Stang?

Agreed, the '01 should be around $7K. My 99 GT was originally listed at the dealership for $10K back in 2009, but I ended up getting it for a tad over $6K. Dealerships have lot's of wiggle room when it comes to used cars. However; I got mine in the autumn, and you're looking for a muscle car...

Will 99 coil springs work in a 96?

Joe Daddy, I have my stock 99 GT coupe springs just sitting in the garage taking up space. If you want them, $40 for the springs + plus shipping. Didn't just want to throw them away, figured somone might need/want them. Let me know, and i'll get the box weighed for a shipping estimate....

Will 99 coil springs work in a 96?

If it was a GT coupe then yes. Due to the extra weight in convertables their springs are different. Not sure if they'll lower your car without the extra weight.

    Just picked up a black/black '98 GT

Hey nothing wrong with having both a 'stang and a camaro. I've got my 99GT and my 10 Camaro SS. I like your choice of the 68 Charger too :nice:
