Wondering if the 373 rear gears are better for p

Don't fear the gear. Especially with an aod. I'm still a fan of 4.10s with that trans. 6500 at the stripe would be around 120mph which is where a hci vortech car should be (assuming it has an hci, at that power I would think it would and should have no problem going closer to 7000).

Electrical Can someone double check this wiring diagram?

Im putting my battery in the spare well on the 427 car. About to order the stuff to hook up/route the power side, and need it track legal. Since I'm going thru and cutting out any unused wiring and not using a lot of the stock '89 components (no hvac, holley ecu, 3g alt, etc) I want to make...

351w with Efi into Foxbody with Efi Question

If it were me, id look at something like an edelbrock victor or tfs r (not the box), Both upper and lower. Both will be way overkill for the stock e7 heads, but fitment and availability are good, may even be able to sneak either under a stock hood with some tricks (and will be great once you go...

Build Thread The Hoopty Chronicles - New House, New garage, New Car?

i miss being able to do side-job stuff like this, the last couple shops if you had a g-job you could mess with it after hours as long as a machine was open. the new place, not so much. but at least the pay is better and its not a sausage fest.

Fox Does a Cat Really Need Air?

Really depends on the cat, or really the chemistry inside the cat. New stuff doesn't have air (smog) pumps like the old stuff used to use. Whether or not a bolt-on h/x has the cats that's need it.....probably need to call the manufacturer.

Progress Thread Street/strip 427w In A Gt Hatch- Slow Progress

Still making slow progress. Got sidetracked a bit with the possibility of selling the coyote for another fox, but settled for throwing a set of 3.73's in it and omg it needed those BAD. Made up a rear seat delete frame out of 1x1x.063 aluminum angle, just got cardboard for the load floor as a...

Build Thread '83 T-top Coupe - Welding Holes in My Rear

if you remember in my thread, i had to re-make those radiator mount tabs with the same piece. don't know if it was just my situation or what, but just an fyi. if i hadnt dropped the front end of mine and crushed the lower bit, i wouldnt have even bought/installed it.

hows this for a Engine Harness? Painless #60510 ?

The only harness you need for an aod to t5 conversion is the trans harness, and thats debatable on its own. That painless harness is meant for swapping a 5.0 engine and ecu into something that didnt originally have it (kit cars, older mustang, etc).

    Progress Thread Project Copper Can

furnace, a/c, and water heater. 3-4k would be CHEAP for all that around here, my last house just the a/c was around 3.5-4k. probably used on of the more expensive companys out here, but they're the only ones that responded out of 3 or 4 that i contacted when the a/c went out last week.

Post pics of how your foxbody currently sits

a bit of disrepair just shows its actually USED and DRIVEN, and not just stored for nice days. way more respect for a car that see's action vs sitting in a garage all the time.
