    There is a Tach signal wire coming off your distributor. Sounds like the either the pickup is wacky or the wiring has a loose connection.

    i've seen those bolts come out of the cam thrust plate. It walked and broke the cam in a few places, wrenched the crank in half and cracked the block.

    electrical problum

    well the ole foxbodys had headlight swithc problems, they overheated real bad and sometimes caused a fire when the fog lamp switch was on also. I'd look at the headlamp and multifunction switch. Also unplug the connectors and look for melted connectors pieces inside.

    i really like the BBK fuel pumps, there little kits are awsome and they are farely cheap to be had at summitracing.com my 87 vert has 147k with original pump, man that thing is getting noisy.

    ball joints

    very easy way to check is, jack the car up on the frame and put some pressure on the A arm with the jack, then shake the tire. I did mine and oh my sweet Jesus Lord, i don't know how they are still functioning.
