If you do it on a lift (which would definately help) make sure you still use a jack to lower the control arm/spring IF you're not going to use spring compressors. Otherwise, the spring might come out a little easier than you want...
You don't want "spacers" as such, you want "adapters". I'm not sure anyone even makes a 1" "spacer". The "adapters" bolt to you hubs, and then have seperate studs for you wheels to bolt to. "Spacers" just slip in between the wheel and hub.
I ran a set of 1" hub-centric "adapters" on my...
If you're like me, anything like this will only hurt your fuel economy...
I don't think my foot has been off the floor since I put the midpipe/catback on...
If you plan to continue using high wattage bulbs or even if you don't. I'd say get a heavy duty relay harness. I've been using them on all my cars for several years now and running high wattage bulbs. It plugs into one of the stock bulb plugs (so you probably wouldn't have to replace the...
I've got a UPR shifter, and bought a gasket from mustangtuning. It helped a lot... IF you're going to keep the UPR I would say get the gasket. RTV doesn't do anything, but seal the case...
I wouldn't mind having the MGW based on all the reviews, but I wouldn't give up the look I've got...
Thanks guys. I'll probably just go ahead and get one. Then see what I can do about the screws.
My car is DSG too, and I just like being subtle and different... I like for people to think my car looks good, but have to think about it for just a second as to why or what's different...
Yes, I plan on committing a homosexual act by painting aluminum... Leaving the bolts stainless... I'll be sure to inform all the homosexual Lightning owners... :D
I'll probably go ahead with it... Just was hoping someone might have done it and had pix...
Before I do though, are all...
Anyone done this and got pix? I've seen several Lightnings, and it looked great!
I've got a Cobra bumper that needs to be painted. I was thinking when I take it over to my friend that will be painting it I might pick up a Bullitt style fuel door, and have him paint it body color too... Then...
I pulled mine off, and made some stainless plates to cover where the holders were. No problems with belt getting caught or twisted, but my seat is all the way back...
They're green... I prefer blue... matches the CD player... :)
BTW, here are my UPR's. I trimmed the dumby light area... I've thought about adding the billet trim rings, but just haven't been motivated enough to mess with it...
I usually keep them dimmed somewhat. I don't...
I did the cap thing a few months ago, and just recently took it out, just to see what it was like before... I hated it. RPM's wouldn't drop, and shifting was cumbersome... Put it back, and all is well, Stang is fun to drive again...!
Well, mine are silver face reverse glow (blue) from UPR, but I love 'em. Got the A/C panel to match...
Very easy install, and no removing the needles...
Well, I took mine off tonight to fix the "leak", put it all back together, and still there... I'm tired of messing with it. I'll probably just order a MAC H, and sell mine...
