Where can I get the tool to take out the ignition switch?

    I used a needle nose vice grips:shrug:

    gt-40 heads and lunati camshaft

I think many people could give you educated guesses, but I'm sure everyone would hate to tell you "yes it will work" and then you buy the parts and put it all together, start it up, and you now have a nice door stop. Valve clearance questions get asked a lot, and the best answer always given is...

    need help with head question?

Fel-pro's tech line said it was ok? Call them again and tell them what happened and see if they can explain it. Are you sure you put the head gaskets on right? There is a front and back to them.

    replacing Capri carb.

a 4160 is not a direct replacement, but this one is going to get as close as possible I think http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=HLY%2D64%2D3609&view=32&N=700+4294925239+4294839063+4294908331+4294925023+4294840126 It will keep you smog compliant probably. I have one for my 1985...

    Need new heads...Any recommendations?

I think there is a huge disconnect in what people consider inline. Some people say it is the valves all in a nice line when you are looking at the tips above the springs. You could run a straight edge along the sides of the valves and they would all touch the straight edge. TW heads don't do...

    gt-40 heads and lunati camshaft

As has been discussed many times before, lift is not the problem, it's duration. But my guess is with that much duration you will have piston to valve contact, but as with any engine you need to check yourself when you put it together. It's very hard to give any definitive answers to this...

    need help with head question?

You can start by pulling the heads off, then go get them o-ringed, and then get some gaskets for O-ring heads. Or you can pull the engine, get a new block that is not o-ringed, swap all your internals, and get normal head gaskets.

    Need new heads...Any recommendations?

I would take a look at trick flow's CNC twisted wedge heads http://www.trickflow.com/egnsearch.asp?N=400098+4294908331+4294867081+4294867010+115+303946&autoview=sku I said some flowbench results in an article once, and they flow a LOT. I imagine if I ever owned some, I would never get rid of...

    cam question?

if memory serves right, anderson does not make anything but roller cams, so you should be at the firing order mentioned before. Roller lifters can be identified as 347HO described, also double check your timing and marks like he said. On top of that, put a timing light on it and check it while...

    How do I determine if

take off the coil wire going to your distributor so the car does not start, then take off your valve covers and turn the engine over. If you notice that some rocker arms do not move or do not move as much as others, then you have a wiped cam lobe.

    oil pressure

are you wondering why it's going from middle to low after 20 minutes? Because the oil warms up, gets thinner, and you get less pressure. If you're just wondering why your oil pressure is low, it's because your bearings are worn, but I second the idea of getting an aftermarket gauge on it...

    world products heads

First of all, you can't buy new world products heads for $650. I purchased my Roush 180's for $720 on sale when they first came out about 6 years ago. Secondly, there are no 190's for Ford from world products. Thirdly, you're better off with aluminum heads as they are not much more expensive...

    Recommend me a camshaft

I would say use the XE262 if you had a 302, but since you are running a 351W, use the XE268 IMO.

    how wicked is your cam?

mine is 62, comp 282S solid flat tappet. An E-303 would be the same. But what's up with that chart dude. What category are you in with 35? towing or ordinary street? What's with the "overlap" HAHAHA

What do you guys think of my engine bay?

I have seen flat, semi-gloss, and gloss, and I think gloss is the only way to go. Gloss might look ultra shiny at first but it will dull after a little while and look great. Semi-gloss will look perfect when it's first put on, but will not look so good a year later. That's just what I've seen...

    Braking In Engine???

Is this a roller cam engine? If so, just use a non-synthetic normal motor oil. If you have a flat tappet cam, I recommend delo-400 diesel oil, it's 15W-40.
