    Bilstein or Tokico?

    I don't have any experience with the Tokicos, but I love my Bilsteins. They do a great job of controlling wheel motion without being uncomfortably stiff; in fact, they actually improved ride quality when compared with the factory dampers.

    headlight panel removal

    For me, it was obvious as I could see the cracks in the header panel. Generally speaking, though, if the headlamps are loose and/or move around when installed in the vehicle, the header panel is probably cracked and needs to be replaced.

    When I bought my car back in 2005, the header panel was cracked on both sides. I replaced it in about an hour. It's an easy job.

    Still working on the trans. I'm hoping to have it finished by the end of the weekend. I'm finished with the internals, but I still have to modify valve body and install it on the transmission. I'll keep you all posted.

    Add yet another vote for shocks / struts. The factory ones are ****, and wear out within 40,000 miles anyway (if not sooner). Get Bilsteins if you can afford them; you won't regret it.

    Mine used to do this too. I never figured out what was leaking, and now the whole trans is apart for a rebuild. It's getting all new seals, so hopefully it won't leak anymore...
