    The July Motor Trend mentions the GT with 3.73 rear end needs 3rd gear to hit 60 mph. It did so in 4.4 seconds but I bet the 3.55 car can hit 60 in the same amount of time as you won't need that second shift. Something else to think about. Greg

    Bright yes. Ungodly so, I disagree. Also, the light is a much whiter color, almost blue. Much more appealing than the dim yellow everyone elses car will come with. :nice: I may remove the fog lights as that red shelby looks great without them. Greg

    Hopefully we'll both have our cars soon. My dealer says Ford still has every one of their custom orders on hold. They have been built but are sitting outside the factory for some reason. Greg

    I ordered ten days ago and went with 3.55's. The old 4.6 with 320 foot pounds of torque needed a 3.73 a lot more than the new car will. 6th gear on the new tranny is about the same as 5th on the old gear box so with closer gears and 70 more foot pounds of torque, I think the 3.73's are...

    Anyone else notice this? You can backdoor the option by specifying the 19" wheels but the brembo package is formally gone. Anyone know if this is a goof on the site or maybe Ford temporarily stopped offering the package given the slowdown on cars ordered with that option? Greg

    I agree 100%. 6th gear on the new car is only about 4% taller than 5th last year. In one of the magazine comparison tests, they showed each car's rpm at 60mph. The new stang was at 1,950 with the 3.73 whereas the competition was about 500 rpm lower. Given that the new car has over 100 more...
