Info leaked on the 2011 GT from Edmund's

I really hope the new car isn't as heavy as initially reported. New colors? Drop the butt ugly gold please. I am curious what the Brembo brake package is going to run. Greg

Info leaked on the 2011 GT from Edmund's

I have two profiled LCD's and that color looks red to me. Not a deep crimson red but the bright "torch" type of red that can always look a bit orange under the right light. Greg

That is insane. I hope I can order one of these cars in the next couple months for a late spring early summer delivery. Greg

Info leaked on the 2011 GT from Edmund's

To the last point you made, how many mustang drivers have had non-mustang owners ask why the went with the 'stang? Most of them. But how many Mustang owners ask an Evo or STI driver why they went with their choice? None of them . . . Greg

    2011 V6 Engine

It is pretty obvious that this V6 mustang will perform like no other in the past. But as someone else mentioned, the engine is probably maxed out from the factory with respect to bolt on's that an enthusiast would want to add on his own. If you want to add more than 15 hp my guess is you'll...

    2011 V6 stang official release

I bet the current 4.6 GT's will sell very well even with the new engine coming out. The real purchase price for consumers will be about $5k apart and many people will be satisfied with the 4.6 which offers plenty of real world performance for most folk. Personally, I am more interested in...

    2011 V6 stang official release

Let's hope they keep the weight in line. I think the 6 speed can add a modest amount of weight, if any. The new 5.0 could be lighter than the 4.6 so maybe the new car will weigh in the same as the old? Greg

    2011 V6 stang official release

For at least six weeks, the general consensus has been we'll hear about all the new engines at the LA Auto Show which as we know is happening right now. I hope we don't have to wait any longer than tomorrow. Greg

    2011 V6 stang official release

X1000 Also, the press release said brakes on the V6 are now 11.5 up front and 11.8 in back. I find it odd that the rears are larger than the front. Maybe the fronts are actually 12.4? That'd be about right given 11.8 in back. Greg

    2011 Mustang Leaked !!!

Definitely not; at least for "regular" driving. Obviously it takes more fuel to make more hp but I can't see highway cruising at 70mph getting anything less than identical mileage if not better. Now if you were on a race track using all that power then fuel economy would drop. Also, I am sure...

    got my 2010 gt

Congrats on the new ride? How many revs at 60 mph in 5th gear with the 3.73's? If I buy one of these cars I'd prefer the performance of the 3.73 but don't want a real busy engine at 70mph cruise speed. Greg

'10 "build your own" feature available

I noticed that as well. I also noticed when speccing out a new GT Premium it appears there is no way to get rid of the tape stripes on the bottom side of the car in addition to the decal for Mustang. They show pics of GT's without this so it must be an oversight. Greg

    2010 GT500 Engine Mystery?

Aluminum head and block? That would save some weight and really help the balance of the car. Too bad they're still 40k plus. Greg
