    5pt Roll Bar Installed

I can take additional pics if you let me know what you want to see. I haven't finished my rear seat delete so the back isn't 100%. The AC knobs are UPR. Bill

    5pt Roll Bar Installed

I had a chromoly 5pt roll bar installed with a swing out this past Friday. I painted and put the interior back in over the weekend so the less than stellar paint work is my fault. Everything is custom bent to the car so it follows roof line and interior panels. I never use my back seat so...

    getting close........

Your making some good progress there. Some people will tell you no break in. I just kind of drove my 2000 normal for the first 1000 to break it in. If you went with aftermarket rings I'd see what they recommend in case they suggest anything specific to seat them. Bill

    valve spring question?

I can only comment on what I've had. I originally went with the comp cam springs and in 4 months they were allowing the valves to hang open. I was revving the car to 6800. I eventually switched to crower stage 2 with titanium retainers and had no problems after that. That was with stage 1...

    Look what I found

KBB value on that car is only $7,385 (private party value) with that mileage and rated as being in excellent shape. Given the current economy very little to anything other than economy cars are selling near book value. So it's not unreasonable at all to think you could find one in the $6k range...

    How long can it run?

The taxi's down here usually have 370-410k miles on them before they hit the junkyard. Bill

    K-member...

No because the Granatelli K-member is junk. I've handled them, know people that had used them and helped install one it's a piece of crap. Everyone knows it so no reason to repeat what others have said. I have a stock K-member in my car. I've had two UPR K-members in previous cars before and I'm...

So you trash a companies product without anything to back it up...fact, opinion or otherwise? You do realize that chromoly has a higher tensile strength than mild steel right? Bill

    K-member...

Proof of that last statement? I had a UPR tubular K-member in my car for close to 80k miles with zero problems. I hit pot holes, even bent one of my weld prostars, bottomed out on another pot hole so bad the pavement scraped the powder coating off. Obviously I didn't look for them to hit it...

    8 rib AC delete?

No there isn't. The AC and PS pump mount directly to the block/timing cover and have different bolt patterns. I'm sure something could be machined but it would be fairly involved and the amount of work to re-do the PS lines to reach to the other side of the engine would be pretty expensive and a...

    4.6 2v Balancer braking???

I've heard of it happening before. Same thing happened to me with one of Steedas SFI balancers but it also had 80k miles on it and a good 900 or so passes on it at the track. The rubber eventually starts rotting and obviously the blower puts more stress on the nose of the crank and that includes...

    most powerful street NA 4V?

10' new edge vs 99'-04' new edge?

Have to see it in person. FWIW I grew up in the fox body age and never cared for the '94-98 body style and when the '99 style was first put in magazines I hated it. It looked too squared off, headlights looked funny, etc... Then when they hit the lots I happened to go with a friend looking at...

    Lower Control Arms

Think of it like a sliding scale. You start with rubber bushings on one side , polyurethane and delrin in the middle and solid bushings on the end. Rubber is the softest and most forgiving for someone that wants a nice quiet ride. You give that up slowly as you slide the scale up till solid...

    8 rib AC delete?

Yeah it would take some re-engineering to figure it out with the SC on there. Just an idea. Bill
