    Estimated time of removal/install

I first time I pulled my tranny it took me about 13 hours. but I had no Idea what I was doing, and I was working with hand tools and jack stands. if I were to do it again, with airtools, it would take me about 6 hours. the bolt on the starter took me the longest time to get off, everything after...

    4.10's highway mileage

I've gotten up to 27mpg with the old gears. remember your car came with 3.27 gears stock, and mine came with 2.73 gears. so you'll probably never get that kind of milage with your car.

    clutch is gone

I drove mine for about 10 miles with practically no throwout bearing. all the bearings fell out of it, and i was just two pieces of metal grinding against each other. it sounded like the devil screaming in your ear every time I pressed the clutch in. I replaced the bearing, and it was good as new.

Spinning only one wheel with slicks?! :(

your going to eventually break something in the stock rearend when running slicks. I would go for a 31spine posi setup. the Auburn ECTED looks pretty cool. its a electronic posi. normal operation its a limited slip, then just push a button and it turns into a locker. I would get one if I had the...

I would try some of that orange goo stuff. it works wonders on getting tree sap off, I would think it would do the same to the vinyl glue

    3:73's out 4:30's IN

I read on another board that 4.10+ gears will make a supercharger spin up to quickly and potentially cause damage to it. I'm not sure on how true this is, but it might be something to look into before spending 5 grand on a supercharger

    1998 GT Kenne Bell

you'll run too much compression with the pi heads to run boost. I'd p&p your npi heads, and then do cams.

    Driveshaft?

can you describe the noise? is it rattling?, humming?, grinding? does it get louder with the speed of the car, or the engine rpms? I'm not an expert on transmissions, but if you give more details someone better qualified could help you better

    Driveshaft?

a little movement is ok, like 1cm either directon

    Driveshaft?

If this noise is new, I would check the u-joints on the driveshaft, look for cracked, or broken joints. Also check the bolts that connect the driveshaft to the pinion by the rear-end

    LS1 in a mustang

if I had the money, and lived in a area that didn't require smog checks, i would just drop a 428 cobra jet engine in my car. that way I'll be still keeping it 100% ford, and I wouldn't have to worry about messing with computer wiring

help me get around 300-350 hp

well I'll see what I get when the dyno #'s come in. I'm not going to be pissed off if I only get 300rwhp, that is still enough to take 99% of the cars on the road. I didnt want to supercharge my engine because is has high milage on it, and I didnt want to risk blowing something up. also there's...

    Grinding sound in rear end...

if the sound increases with rpm then its a problem with the tranny, if increases with speed, then its a problem with the rearend

help me get around 300-350 hp

later down the road after I forge the bottom end, and drop the compression down a little, a kb supercharger on 98 with p&p heads and cams can produce over 500rwhp.
