*VERY* dissapointed with my new FRPP King Cobra clutch

damn...good thing i read this thread. I'm trying to decide which clutch I want to put in my car when I do my 5 speed swap. Although, a good friend of mine has a king cobra in his supercharged cobra with 523rwhp 420rwtq and loves his and does PLENTY if high rpm shifting. Hmm...seems like all...

    port polishing at home?

I posted this same topic like a few months ago and havent' done anything to the heads...yet. One resounding answer to my question was this. Do NOT touch the bowls of the combustion chamber. that could alter the compression ratio and could potentially be disaterous. You can polish the...

New Plenum test on the way!

Hm..My bets are on the accufab wiping the competition but I sort of hope I'm wrong because that thing's expensive but the bling factory might be too hard to turn down. :D

Car Broke Tongight After Running At the Track!

the ford shorties are a waste if you havne't figured that out yet. i know it doesn't help much now but EVERYONE who has them that posts here has had cracking problems. Do yourself a favor now and ditch them man. A set of bassani mid length or bbk full lenght's will make you MUCH happier...

    C&L mass air

it's camS. there are 2 unlike the 5.0's. Also, what year is your car black-stang? If it's a pre 99 car, a MAF will make a pretty big difference, especially with the plenum and a trueflow pipe or denscharger or the like.

    Midpipes for automatics

they can. i know a few guys with them. the dr. gas pipes have to be welded together anyways so any decent muffler shop would be able to do it. it's also one of the best mid pipes you can buy. some would argue that it IS the best but you know how many options you have to choose...

Pics of the widest tire you can safely fit on 18x9 rim

i coud tell a difference with the wider tires in front. it seemed more..."floaty" if you will. and i had to get used to the back end feeling the same way going around turns. if you want to know what 315's would feel like, imagine taking off the lug nuts on both back tires then driving...

    Advancing your timing does nothing

buy me one too. i also learned earlier today that lowering springs make our cars taller. :notnice:

Pics of the widest tire you can safely fit on 18x9 rim

i've got 275 kumhos on my 18X9.5 R's. That's the biggest I would put on unless you go with the 315's made by nitto. those run rather thin for 315's and are the only 315's you should put on there. i think 275's are the generally accepted max for any rim less tahn 10 inches wide.

Kenne Bell Tech Support & Customer Service

yeah there's no question that they are dedicated to their customers. it's a shame that only a few companies out there go above and beyond the avg consumer's expectations to ensure repeat business. as for their superchargers, i'm still see sawing back and fourth between a kb or a turbo from...

    Superchargers don't work. PERIOD!

Just so you guys know.... It's just a ploy by marketing cartels to steal your hard earned money. Don't believe the phony so called "dyno" charts or "time slips". These things are just expensive hand grenades that bolt to your enigne. And forget nitrous too. It's just compressed air with...

    Subframe connector???

jimi, do you have a cobra with IRS? check MM's website. if there is a difference between IRS sfc's and solid axle sfc's, their site would have a different set listed. that'd be the best way to tell.

    Subframe connector???

yeah those ebay sfc's look like toothpics compared to my griggs full lentgh sfc's. If I had it to do over again though, I'd probably get this. it's got a cross brace for added stiffness as well as arched section for an optional side exhaust that most sfc's don't let you get away with...

Gatorbacks don't seem to Grip, still New too!

well, when you've got upwards of 300 lbs/ft torque, you're gonna spin pretty much whatever you put on. Hell, I haven't done that much to my car (still with stock heads too) and it'll melt my brand new kumho 275's through 1st and most of 2nd. of course, the 4.10's don't help so when you get new...

Rear end bottoms-out, Is that normal?

there's a rubber block that you can either replace or add that goes up on the under body of the car above the diff housing. this could be worn out or missing and the houseing hitting the frame could be the problem. lift up the rear end and look up under there for a rubber block slightly larger...

    bassani vs. the rest

I've had the bassani o/r X pipe on my car (with the american thunder cat back) for about a year and a half now and absolutely LOVE the sound. Unfortunately, I'm going to be switching to the Dr. Gas X pipe when I do the headswap b/c I'll be putting long tubes on. SO, when that gets done, I'll...
