COOLING MY BLOWER- RUNNING 220 HOT, WHY?

With a blower like that you will need way more fuel than normal. Alot of it will condense on the blower rotors. What is your A/F ratio? Also, what material is the radiator? You may want to try a Cobra waterpump pulley. And what is wrong with your alternator? Oh, and I agree with SloFoSho...

    INSTALLING OIL PSI GAUGE

I just replaced the factory sender that pokes out of the block on the drivers side by the accessories. But your factory one will no longer work. So I'm not sure this helps that much. I used electric gauges.

Anyone Have Hooker Exhaust and/or Mufflers?

I run the MAXFlows. I like them. They are very quiet at idle and cruise, but crazy loud at WOT. At idle they have a deep resonance that can only be heard outside. The one thing I had to get used to is they have a rasp around 4000 rpm's. But it gets better as the mufflers break in.

Pics of spec stage 2 and 3 clutch? anyone have them?

I had a stage 1, now I have a 2/3 hybrid. I started with a stage 3, but when I got my GForce, I switched to a 2/3 hybrid disc. But my stage 3 pressure plate was much heavier and tougher than the stage 1. I don't have a picture for you though.

    This normal...??

Don't knock Rangers. Not all of them are slow. Then again, mine's not fast enough for me yet. Maybe after the blower. And you need a different exhaust for pre 86 stangs because they don't have the hangers for the h-pipe setup. Although you could always have them added on.

    This normal...??

Hmmm That I'm not sure about. I seem to remember hearing that the older cars (pre86) had a dual to single and back to dual exhaust. So they have a y-pipe instead of the h-pipe. Which is why a new h-pipe with cats would need to be modified to fit. But I'm not positive that it's like this. The...

    This normal...??

Ok, if he was passing you, then he had a ton of momentum on you that yu have to make up before you can pull on him. If it was from a stop, you most likely would do sooo much better. He had a major jump, and I bet you were not ready and in gear, so that takes time as well. If you stopped him from...

    GT40 Heads?

I'd say yes, especially since you are youing to be on the throttle more than before. For the plug angle, that is only a problem on the GT-40P heads that came off the Explorers. The 'Turbo-Swirl' is different. And for a cam, I think a custom cam would be much better. It will cost a bit...

    Mustang owners are ass lickers

Ownster - The Site that Owns You What is this crap! Does this site own BMW drivers? Are they some kind of property? Does that mean BMW drivers are lower than people since they can be owned? Nah.. Maybe just this clown.

can you use metric fuel injectors

You need high impedance injectors. Low impedance ones will fry the computer.

Put a Bullit in my Steed (stumped)

The factory gauge may have taken a dump. I say check it with the pyrometer, or put an accurate gauge on there. Until then, don't trust the stock stuff.

Got Billet Flywheel in Mail, Worried its not what I was told it was..HELP.

Looks to be what it says it is. I did a search on google and came up with this: http://www.kajunjon.com/Main/flywheel_clutchkit.html If you scroll down you will see the 1610 is the 50oz 157 tooth flywheel. And they retail for 160, so looks like a good buy. How did you expect it to look?

    5.0 engine swap to a 99 question

I just checked Maximum Motorsports website. The list two different k-members for a 5.0 motor. One for 79-95, and the other 96-03. So it looks like the k-member is different, so the motor might not bolt up. Unless you get the MM k-member, then it will definitely bolt in.

Best place to buy New Valves? Re-Building GT-40 Heads, need Valves!

Hmm That was kind of lucky. I don't have much expierience with adjusting rockers. But I do know that you want to set a certain preload on the pushrods, so to say. For rockers without shims, you adjust them down until you can no longer turn the pushrod with your fingers. Then add a quarter...

Best place to buy New Valves? Re-Building GT-40 Heads, need Valves!

Ok, the valves are .050 inches longer, not .50 (1/2") inches longer. You can barely see this difference. You don't need longer pushrods. In fact, you don't need to shim the rockers if you don't want to, but you won't get the most power because they are not adjusted properly. It's not a big...

    Diff Carrier

Ok, how do I get the diff carrier out of the rearend? I pulled the axles and the bearing caps. What am I missing. The thing does not want to move. It just spins when I try to pull it out. I don't want to start prying on stuff yet. Help...

Best place to buy New Valves? Re-Building GT-40 Heads, need Valves!

Who installed the rockers that are on there to begin with? Since you want new valves, you have to pull the heads, which means readjusting the rockers anyway. I'm not sure if you can get the standard length valves in a larger size.

Best place to buy New Valves? Re-Building GT-40 Heads, need Valves!

You can't just add a .050 thicker shim, because that will raise the whole rocker .050 inches. That means the pushrod would also need to be .050 inches longer. So you need to add a shim to correspond the ratio of the rocker. I'm not sure the exact way to do the math, so I would just readjust the...

Best place to buy New Valves? Re-Building GT-40 Heads, need Valves!

MAN-11532-8 - Intake MAN-11575-8 - Exhaust Part numbers from Summit. These should be stock installed height. The .050 longer tip just effects how you adjust your rockers. Should not be a big deal. I would use these. As for springs, I'm not too familiar with those. I'm using the trickflow kit...
