    Back to topic, this is my point. The LS1 is a great motor but a GT with $2500 or less in mods CAN run with an LS1 with a few free mods with no problem. People are doing it so you can't argue that.

    Oil Pressure Woes...

    The oil pressure sending units are prone to going bad. Before driving yourself crazy get a good mechanical oil pressure guage and make sure you really have a problem. I took a picture of where the sending unit is located but it was with a camera phone so hopefully you can see it.

    I have the Bassani system and love it. IMO the best way to get a power gain is to replace the cats. They seem to be the most restrictive part of the stock system. Axle-back may give you 3-5 hp but it is mostly for improving the sound. The midpipes i.e. x-pipes will also give you a nice gain...
