    I had some cheap autozone ones on my old mustang... i'd definatly suggest goin' with stainless, otherwise they rust VERY quick.. Also, becareful when pulling the pins out, it's very easy to scratch the hood which SUCKS.... You also may want to check out zeus fasteners, I've never used em, but...

    Sounds like a busted spring isolater to me... If they are the stock rubber ones, switching to polyurethane ones wouldn't hurt.
