    nope...it is hard to move, but I generally stand in front of the car and wiggle it forwards and backwards until it gets loosened enough to where I can pull it out. Once you've done these a few times, you can do an alternator in like 10 minutes or less if you have the tools and parts ready.:D

    If it's a cheap filter, just replace it. Otherwise, I'd just let the filter air out (or help it w/ a hair dryer) and throw it back on. I doubt much water got into the intake unless you ran the car under water, which I doubt. The water-soaked filter probably restricted air to the engine...

    Not sure about the sender, but I generally figure out how many miles I can get out of a tank and use that as a rough estimate. I don't even usually use my gas gauges as much, I just watch my trip meter...it doesn't lie (as long as I reset it when I fill up & I get fairly consistent mpg)...
