    2004 gt

You'd be fine with 5w30, and although the brand you use is pretty much a matter of taste (as long as you change it regularly,) I would personally use Motorcraft synthetic blend, because it's a better oil than nearly all the dino oils out there, and costs about the same. The wix filter is fine...

What are you paying for insurance??

75/mo for the 2004, through State Farm, and that's for full coverage plus glass and a 500 deductible. That also includes 3 speeding tickets in the last 2 years, and one not at fault "act of god" accident.

    Water Temp Gauge Sending unit

The best place would be the thermostat housing cover thingy. Check out my writeup at www.sgarlic.com/04stang/ and look in the how-to section. I have a picture of how to do it.

few questions before I purchase my KB

Since only one person even attempted to answer your original question, here are my thoughts. You shouldn't need any "huge" specialty tools except a fuel line disconnect tool, some petroleum jelly to lubricate the o-rings on the new injectors, a few different varieties of sockets/extensions...

HELP! AC not blowing cold/bad idle

Maybe there is a ton of air in the system, and not enough freon. I guess you could try that uv leak stuff.

    Fuel rail pressure sensor...?

Just a random thought here, but how is your fuel pressure? Perhaps there is a limit to what pressure that sensor can properly measure, and your BAP and pump are spiking it past that.

    This doesnt look natural...

Very common to see that. I can't say I've seen it quite that thick, however. I would suggest checking that cap and wiping it off a little more often, and follow the advice of others in the thread.. get that oil to proper operating temp more often before shutting down. At the least, drive it...

Need Help with Autometer Gauge selection

The Z series Autometer gauges look the closest to stock. They are black faces, white lettering, and red needles. Stock bulb color they include is green or red, and it's very close. Put an LED 194 green bulb in them, and they are a dead match for stock.

    KENNE BELL QUESTION

Right. The blocks on the 4.6's definately aren't known for splitting right down the middle, but our problem is pistons and rods. The pre 93 5.0's had forged internals, and we have hypereutectics, which are so brittle that they have little to no tolerance for detonation. The 5.0's were good to...

    Engine Ping

Have you tried cleaning the MAF? I'd try that first, then if that doesn't fix it, think about going back to the dealership and asking them why it suddenly went from not pinging to pinging after the software upgrade.

Tires for a 10.5" wide wheel?

Well, I'm not using my tires for canyon carving, or racing. I use them for normal street driving, and they suck for that too. I seem to recall several threads a while back of people complaining about similar problems of grabbing road grooves or cracks. Hopefully some of these people will...

    methanol injection on n/a

Now wait a second here. You are right in that the intent is to cool down the incoming air.. definately. But the octane rating is of the gasoline. Cooling down the air before it hits the intake does exactly that, cools the air down. Recall, the octane rating is in a nutshell the ability of...

Tires for a 10.5" wide wheel?

I have Sumi's on my 17x9 and 17x10.5, and I can't friggen stand them. I almost want to powerslide around every corner just to make them bald more quickly. They are horrible. They follow every little crack and groove in the road. Maybe not everybody elses Sumi's are like that, but mine are...

Rear howl, slipping rear end? Stock gears.

Just drive it home. If something fails on the way, and it's Ford's own fault, they pay for the tow truck, and any associated repairs after it gets there.

    Crank Pulley

The gold underdriven pulley that doesn't match anything under the hood looks better than the OEM black one which matches EVERYTHING under the hood?
