    5.0HO out of a lincoln.... what's different.

The engine in my car right now came out of a '88 Lincoln Mark 7 LSC. I just slapped a custom cam in it with some Thumper heads and Tmoss ported intake.

    Best harmonic balancer for money?

I have this one. It's a nice piece for the price, and you can change it to a 28oz if you had to by switching out the counter weight. http://www.cnc-motorsports.com/product.asp?ProdID=8042&CtgID=9918

    Rocker Adjustment Help Quick!

When I changed cams I had to go with 6.4 pushrods and shim kit. My RR loosened up a little after breakin but I didn't torque them down enough because I wasn't sure if they would clear the valve covers. I retorqued them down 24ft lbs and now they are nice and tight. Here is a quick way to...

    are these mounts ok?

I just installed these a few weeks ago. Solid mounts will work but like he said above, you will feel everything. http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=PTP%2D6%2D501%2DBL&N=700+4294908331+4294840126+115&autoview=sku

    new help with codes

Same codes I always get. I have the same stuff removed and mass air conversion. I'm running lean at idle and cruising but fine at WOT. No codes though so I don't know to fix it other than getting a chip or programmer.

    Fuel Pressure Guage

Yes, its the one near the passenger side cover. Just remove the valve and screw it in. It should work, if not maybe there is something wrong with it. I bought this one and it works great. http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product2_10001_10002_760855_-1

    Thanks, I'll start there.

    fuel pressure question

Ok, why would I have to turn up the pressure on the regulator just to maintain a decent a/f ratio? It was lean at idle and WOT with the pressure at 40psi. Now at 50psi it's ok at WOT, but is still lean at idle. I shouldn't need a tune with such a mild set up.

    fuel pressure question

Just finished up with my H/C/I. Thumper, Tmoss, custom cam. I have new fuel pump, holley adj regulator, stock injectors. I put it on the dyno with 40psi and the car was running 16:1 a/f mixture. I had to turn up the fuel pressure to 50psi just to get a 13:1 a/f at WOT and it's still...

I'm curious what your combo will do also. I ran the TFS1 with completely stock set up and it ran strong but never got any numbers. The custom cam was $289 plus shipping.

Help me create the "Surging Idle Checklist"

Surging idle after H/C/I I checked everything and nothing helped. I unhooked my mass air meter and finally a good idle. I rotated the position of my mass air meter about 45 degrees and plugged it back in. It finally will run on it's own. Hopefully this will help someone else.

Dizzy newb! Whats wrong here? w/ pic

I just went through this. If your hitting against the water neck then you have the dizzy in the wrong positon. The metal part on the rotor should be where your finger is at top dead center. When the dizzy falls in and the metal contact of the rotor is pointing at #1, you should be close enough...
