    300 RWHP N/A

Mine dyno'd at 298rwhp N/A with the setup below... you'll need cams, P&P heads, LT's, most bolt-ons and a good tune Here's a link to the dyno vid: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BYPDaMUFGsw Good luck!

    failed inspection

I gained rwhp with my magnaflow high-flow cats, plus it made my car more 'tuneable' as the O2 voltage responded better. The only thing that sucked was the price of the steel core cats. :notnice:

Can a catless midpipe pass emissions on these cars?

:hail2: .. preach on brotha'!! I would be very interested to see the stats on how many cars pass/fail and the reasons why. The shop where i got mine tested had to keep photocopies of everything for the car - he told me the government inspects their records every 2 months!! I nearly died at the...

    failed inspection

(like reading a grade 3's journal entry). You should have 2 front O2's and 2 rear O2's. If you look under the car, you should be able to see them. Did you fail the visual or sniffer test? How badly did you fail? details, etc. etc. mods, etc. etc. etc.

    '97 GT owner-to-be!

Congrats! Highly recommend the PI swap. The shifter, exhaust and gears (?) are definitely fun mods which are already done, so good find

trying to diagnose possible cat issue.

Without cats you will eventually throw a CEL code. An exhaust shop should be able to diagnose the problem for you. Thanks goodness for steel core cats (damn emissions - well actually my car sounds 10x better with cats on than no cats) :nice:

trying to diagnose possible cat issue.

What can sometimes happen is the material within the catalytic converter actual wears down / deforms into a ball and rattles around in the cat chamber - this is more common in high exhaust air flow like our V8's. Would explain why under load it is louder (ie. more airflow pushing the ball of...

Do you think I can hit 300rwhp N/A?

300 N/A rwhp achieved here.. backed off timing to saver number and lost 2.5 rwhp in the process.

    Dang - is that a 3.5" or a 4" cowl?

    Running only l/t headers..no exhaust?

You'd have no cats, no backpressure, no feedback to the computer on closed loop.. it would definitely run like crap without a tune (and even a tune would be a band-aid tune). Would probably be pretty damn loud I would imagine

What do you think of this?

(possibly) only on black or mineral grey

    Disaster struck yesterday....

This prompted me to change the plugs on my focus (just did the mustang 2 weeks ago with the new tune). Always use anti-sieze. Always back the plugs in slowly, with just your hand and an extension. Always torque to 13 ft lbs.

    Oil change time interval?

Oil will breakdown over time, so it is a good idea ot change your oil within the recommended timeframe. That being said, I just put in Mobil-1 synthetic that is rated for 1 Yr or 20,000km, so that means no oil change for 1 year for me ;)
