    The swap isn't too bad, but you should really look into what year the harness is, what kind of computer it is, and you really don't want to use a stock maf or intake, your performance will suffer. You'll need to get an efi distributor as well.

    The only reason I'm not using a carb is because I want to use boost, It is much easier to run FI with boost, You'll love that demon they are awesome. And as for they stopped using them 20 years ago, what does nascar use?? Technology has improved, so have carbs.

    Check fuel volume and pressure. I didn't know they put a HO in a T-Bird. Maybe you have the firing order screwed up.

    Unless your blowing the tires off through the 1/8th you will run a lot better with nitrous, kick his brains back to his head. My buddy built a 327 for his 69 Camaro, ran 16.2 at 121 mph. I could have walked and whooped him off the line.

    It can take whatever stall, I know a guy with a 5500 stall with a AOD. Go with a properly built AOD. I'm selling mine with 0 miles for $600, and it's good for 600 hp. Just get a trans shop that maybe you know someone at and can trust for a good build, use transgo shiftkit or a lentech valve body...

    If you look in the Chilton and it says Mercon, that's fine, Dextron III is good for Mercon. Back then they didn't have Dextron III. But hey, it's a T-5, does it really matter what you put in it?? It's gonna grenade anyways. :)

    What trans and gears does he have, what do you have? His car isn't as heavy as you think, if he has good gears exhaust intake carb, I'd put my money on him.

    Uh it isn't possible to chip an AOD, they aren't electronic.You could get a different setup in the govenor and a shift kit will help.

    The OD band will not engage, that is not possible. The only way the OD band can engage is if it is in OD. Lentech is the $hit, but transgo and locked retainers with a police or taxi direct drive, and its good to take a brutal beating.

    The shuffle is fatel because of an internal ring blowing off the drum. It will do the same thing with a different valve body. If you cut the retainer and lock it in so it can't fly off, it will last forever, I had one done that lasted 40,000 very hard miles. Only reason I rebuilt it was because...
